I think LL is fair in his posts. What I don't like from some posters is that the negative comments over shadow the wins. That's where I have issue.
i.e. "Yeah, we won but we're going no where with Cronin!" If everybody sees all these limitations from the team and UC has won 19 games in spite of them, he must be doing something right.
After the much needed and important St. Johns win, "If St. Johns had hit their ft's we wouldn't have won" That's part of the game. Just as last night UC didn't hit theirs. You're not going to be perfect on most nights. The goal is to win. When criticism and negativity become bigger than the wins, and it does for some on here, there is an issue with the fans and not the team.
For once I'd like the wins to be more of a focus than the negativity. How do you expect recruits and parents to see the program in a positive light when you won't? Negativity hangs like a cloud over the program and it's not the players or coach that creates it. It's the fans.
Tell you what: I promise you that if UC beats UL, Marquette, and/or Georgetown fans will be more focused on the wins. A winless Depaul team: not so much.
