Ok, so every time I read a UC article written by Bill Koch there always seems to be some negativity to it. Usually he is finding some way to bash the UC program or the players and coaches themselves. When he is complimentary, it always feels like a backhanded compliment with some kind of agenda involved. Maybe it is just because he is so negative that I feel this way when he goes for a compliment. I don't know. For this reason I think it will be fun to make up our own "Bill Koch Headlines" after all the UC games.

The idea behind this thread is for a little comic relief so I don't want to see anyone taking these headlines seriously and getting upset about them. Deal? Who knows, maybe Bill will hear about this soon to be infamous thread and use one of the headlines! Ok, so that will never happen, but one can dream, right? :D

I'll start us off: "UC Beats Georgetown But Only Scores 58."

From ME80: "UC continues to suffer on fast breaks, beat Georgetown because player breaks hand"

That's odd, I posted but it's not showing up.

Anyway here is what I posted.

"UC wins despite only 5 players scoring"

So I think it would be fun to post Bill's actual head lines to track with ours. Maybe go back and pull some of our favorites, then track them as they come out. Maybe in an adjacent thread or in the first post of this one. Jason you up for it?

Yeah I read that article last night and thought it was one of his least grumpy pieces in a long time. Maybe even he can't ignore the strong play of this team lately!!!

I am surprised by the actual headline. However, I am sure the folks at the Enquirer will post something to counter balance this good will on the front page of the newpaper it like "Former UC Student Disrespects the Law, Faces Jail Time"

The article will read as follows:

Cincinnati- John Jones, a 41 year old man from Cincinnati, faces 30 days in jail for unpaid parking tickets. Jones, who went to the University of Cincinnati for a few weeks in the fall of 1989, has indicated he was unable to pay his parking tickets because he lost his job. Jones' quandry did not impress the judge, who advised Jones to pay the fines by the end of the month or he will be sentenced to 30 days in jail. Jones is hoping he will receive some assistance to avoid jail time, so that he may watch UK play in the NIT this year at home with his father.

While you have too much time on your hands, this was really funny. Nice job. HAHAHA!!!
