it's cause broome played a lot in the 1st. he got in for about 3 minutes then yanked out in the 2nd half. then cronin put him in with 4 minutes to go with the back up guys. and did you see the look on broome's face when he got pulled with a minute to go. that man is not happy.

Well he better deal with it bc we don't need anyone being selfish.

Can we find PPP anywhere with both of them? I personally feel more comfortable in a big game with Jenifer at this point in time. Broome just doesn't seem ready to run a high major offense to me.

i dont know where to find it. but im interested to know why people think jenifer is big game ready. mick benched him in every big game in the past, how is he ready now?

He's ready to get the other players the ball and not turn it over. We have other players who we need touching the ball. Justin doesn't have to be a hero. If we need a hero we can always try to see if Cane can give us a spark but we don't want to lose the game on TO's in the first half. We can start by seeing if Gary, Jacob, Jarron, and Kyle can keep us in the lead.

Cane is the perfect 6th man right now IMO. Moore being another one. Scoring off the bench...good sparks if the starters are cold.

see i just dont view it like this. we need our best players to play. jenifer to me is a watered down version of caupain. in basically every sense. and as much as i loved caupain i understood his limitations limited the offense.

we all want the deep march run. for that to happen the PG spot needs improved off the past few years. in my mind you just dont get that with jenifer.

i dont know that broome can do it, but i see how the PGs of other top 10 teams play and how they penetrate and how they force defenses to rotate. jenifer does not do that ever. caupain did it rarely.

I actually like a watered down Caupain, considering the talent we have elsewhere.

Take care of the ball, get us into the offense, take the shots that come to you.

With Caupain, it was all about him. It was his team. He had to have the ball. It's not like that with Jenifer at all. And I'd take Jenifer's 3 pt shooting over Caupain's at this point too.

you guys really think you can be a top 10 team with a pg worse than troy?

the top 10 teams have talent like we do at the other 4 positions and then they also have a really good PG too.

Just from a less is more standpoint bc of the rest of the guys we have on the floor being so capable.

We are a Top 10 team right now, so yes? It's not about stacking them side by side for me. We don't need a ball dominant PG imo. And that's what it's all about. And I just have serious questions at this point on whether Broome can run a high major offense for 25-30 minutes against top competition.

how are we acting like broome doesn't make his teammates better on offense. he gets them WIDE OPEN looks.

It's not like I'm saying to bench Broome forever. I just don't think he's ready to shoulder the PG role for 25-30 minutes yet. And Jenifer to me has looked the part so far.

He has played much better this season, and shooting the ball much better. He just looks more comfortable.

I disagree that every good team has the talent at every position like we do. And since when are broome and jenifer really worse? Because they turn it over and don't have a crazy high assist to turnover. I loved Troy, more than a lot of people here. But he was very limited. He had at best an ok jumper, his drives were pretty predictable for the most part. He controlled the ball and didn't make mistakes, he put people in good positions to score. Then you have guys who make some mistakes, and make some turnovers (broome, which I think he will work out) but they can make plays, and so far this year they both look to be better shooters than Troy from 3. I know PG play hasn't been the best, but I don't think it's some huge worry. Especially when we have such talented scorers at all 4 other positions. Not too mention a couple other guys who can come off the bench and make a few plays. I just wouldn't worry so much, I think they're actually playing pretty well, and they'll only get better.

To me it's more about playing guys that are ready. Cane will get there but he is going through some growing pains. He's going to be a great player for us but we want growing pains to come against Savannah and Richmond...NOT Xavier and Florida. He's learning the pace and has been exposed a couple of times against poor competition. I don't think we want to chance that against top 20 teams RIGHT NOW...maybe later. We can get him in the game and get him plenty of minutes in the mean time...he can play good minutes against good teams. If he is playing well we can keep him in...if he's throwing the ball away we need to take him out.

Really have to temper my thoughts until after this game concerning this team. The rotation, minutes, combinations that we have seen utilized by Coach is going to change dramatically. You won’t see wholesale subs or subs playing huge minutes. I think it’s a bit unfair to judge heavily our PG play until our rotation is a bit shorter. There are things I think I have seen but those may change as some continuity applied.

I would suggest looking at Jenifer's stats last year vs top 100 teams and then vs the rest. The drop in play is drastic. 15.5% turnover rate on the season for him last year overall, 24% against top 100 teams, 27.8 % against top 50 teams.

50.6 eFG% 50.7 TS% for the season. drops to 32.4 eFG% and 43.6 TS% vs top 100 and 21.4 eFG% and 25.2 TS% vs top 50.

i would say jenifer looks about the same vs the bad teams this year as he did last year and the numbers back that up.

Amen, I think we'll know a lot more about this team after the next 4 games have been completed.

Can we get a list of the 5 people who voted for Xavier to win in the poll and make sure they get a permanent lifetime ban?

Here is the real question. Which xavier player just goes nuts for no reason? You know there is usually one.

I honestly dont think xavier is that good of a team, but like that matters in this game. they'll shoot 70% from 3 and we'll have to find a way to win.
