I love this discussion every year lol. I'll go with Scruggs. I have no reason...but that's the whole point!

My guess is Kaiser Gates.

He is shooting 42% from 3. And Goodin and JP's drive to the rim and all the attention we give Blueitt. leaves him open for corner 3's.

Interestingly, X is not shooting a ton of 3's. Macura has only shot 15 all year. All the 3's are coming from TB And KG. Their Freshman can't shoot. So it would make sense that they go off for 5 3's and it be their best game in their career.

This makes too much sense lol.

Yep.

Usually one of the best rim protecting teams.

However we have allowed a lot of easy baskets this year when teams break the press

It's always going to be something. It's hard to do everything the best...we have to choose what we want to focus on. That means we can get exposed a little somewhere else. As long as we are top 10 D I don't care really. If we are top 10 D and 150 in 3 pt defense I will take it. If we are top 10 D and 150 in 2 point D I will take it. I would rather be #1 D and be able to defend everything but we have to take the good with the bad. Our bad is open corner 3's from time to time. Well...okay.

I wasn't complaining. Our defense is great at everything right now to be honest. But we've also not played a top 10 offense like Xavier's.

Teams are shooting just 32% from 3 on us and 37% from 2. Thats elite.

Xavier's defense doesn't force any TO's. and they also aren't rebounding offensively like a typical Xavier team would.

However if there is one thing that Chris Mack cares about the most; its rebounding. He called his team out last year for getting punked and says his guys were soft after the UC game.

Thats going to be another interesting matchup. The rebounding war

Let's just play great D and let the chips fall. If they shoot lights out...we can't really do much about it. We couldn't do much about Blueitt last year but we were the better team anyway. We have answers. They need to be a little worried about game plan against us. We can beat them whatever way we choose.

Cumberland has yet to assert himself really. He will start taking more 3's and he will start driving the lane. He's been a facilitator so far. He won't have a choice but to take more shots and I encourage it. All our starters will get more aggressive.

When we played Wyoming I wanted to bet the spread because we hadn't seen our starters for more than 20 minutes. It turns out we still haven't seen starters for more than 20-25 minutes. If we see all of them for 30 minutes we are going to play pretty damn good.

Eggs don't know what is coming!!

We are Kenpom #8 and our starters are averaging 20 minutes per game or so. Our bench is getting lots of minutes and we are maintaining our metrics. We haven't seen much of our studs getting 25+ minutes yet. That is as much of a problem as Gary Clark is a problem!

Xavier has 4 guys averaging more minutes so far than our highest minute per game player. When we put our studs on the floor for 30 minutes it's going to be hard to deal with.

X up 21-8 to Baylor. Baylor doesn’t have the offense that we do.

Their home court advantage is one of the best in the country. We’re honna start slow, it’s almost certain. But just need to answer those runs

if thats their home jersey we better wear red.

I wonder if they will go with the throw back unis for the shootout. I think they are white with the old school running man
