Per Jeff Goodmans twitter: Turkish forward Omer Yurtseven told ESPN he is 7 feet and weighs 240 pounds. Just committed to NC State.

Not sure if he is for the class of 16 or 17. Another win for NC St. His players might leave him but he is getting them replaced.

Saw Romello White's name come up in another thread. Anyone have a clue as to whether or not he has a legitimate shot at landing here? Just via a Twitter search, I can't really find anything that ties him to UC. Would be a hell of a get, clearly...I just feel like the odds of a top 100 player who's available this late coming here is very, very slim. He will likely get looks from nearly every school that has a spot or two available.

Just curious if anyone had any info that I've yet to see.

ESPN 100 Overall Ranking: No. 77

CONSIDERING: VCU, Auburn, Georgia, Iowa State.

THE 411: White recently got a release from his letter-of-intent to Georgia Tech. Last year he decommitted from Tennessee after Vols coach Donnie Tyndall got fired. As for his next landing spot White and Co. have kept things under wraps since leaving the Yellow Jackets, but most believe that Georgia and Iowa State will be strong in this one.

Players signing with NC State is no surprise. It seems like after they start enrolling in the program is when they start to hate it. The coach apparently can BS with the best of them, they are in the ACC, good history, I'm sure a nice school, and it's in NC where it would be a nice place to live. They have playing time available.

As for UC I don't know what's going on or how this will shake up. Is Wednesday the last day for a player to sign? I don't get how that works. We really need a good offseason by some of the role players to make this upcoming year good to great. Not sure if we really are going to be adding anyone else.

I'm not sure how it all works either but I know Lance Stephenson didn't commit/sign till July.

Just read a tweet that he recently visited Arizona State. There's literally no one that I know of that we are going after.

I haven't heard of us having any connection to this guy at all, we did not offer him before he committed to tenn, then he decommitted and committed to tech still with no offer from us. Not saying we cant reach out to him now but we haven't yet and would be real late to the party. This guy IMO will commit to Georgia.

Couplet- believe he committed to UNLV recently

Corprew- Believe he released his top or final three and we were not on it. It was Texas A&M, Kansas, and Missouri

White- no connection to him. Do not think we are or ever have been in on him

Walker- from DC and gtown has been on him for awhile, I expect him to go there

Williams- he is a Houston lean, believe that's wheres he from

Beck- Now I love his game, he is close as hes from Cleveland. Id say he is our best chance in that group, only possibility in this group IMO. Big strong wing he would be a very nice addition, especially if Evans has a break out year or two and leaves for draft before his senior year

Yeah that's why Miller's response back to me caught me off guard. I was under the assumption we were out of options really. Now can't really speak to Miller's credentials or accuracy but he works for 24/7 sports so have to think he knows at least a little.

Chip Miller and he didn't specify but I asked the question right after Hicks committed to NC State and asked if UC was done after that. So I imagine he was talking about 2016 but I will DM him again and try to clarify.

Really hoping we get in on Charles Matthews from UK. 6'6" wing who was ranked 59th in his class in 2015. Would have to sit a year but would be a huge get for us.

Does not have a list yet. It was just announced like 15 hrs ago of him getting his release granted. I'm not sure if we offered him in 2015 at all. Just hoping we get in on him.
