Clark (@Gary11_Clark) scored 31 PTS while only playing 2 minutes in the 2nd half. He has been on quite the roll, Cincy is getting a stud.

One thing you can't argue with is Cronin's ability to evaluate talent. Gary Clark looks like a steal and his December highlight video is really impressive. I can't wait for him to make it to campus. The Cats will have a formidable frontline by the time he is a sophomore. If they can get Graham to commit, that 2015-16 season will be really special.

Anbuc88, landing Graham would be the icing on the cake and balance out the roster.

Please don't take this wrong but leading your post with can't argue Cronin's ability to evaluate talent you've opened the door to do just that. Coach has done a great job. Most understand this. Really know need to justify his capabilities it only creates a forum for those who want to disagree. His success on the court speaks for itself. Continually engaging those who have a different view is useless

I agree. Evaluating talent and landing your top prospects are two different things with almost limitless reasons as to why you missed on some of them.

Proximity, what you promise or don't to a player, what you currently have on the roster, what other coaches are promising the recruit, the perceived status of your program, fan turnout, what fans are saying on boards, the perceived status of your coach, underhanded dealings, being a smooth talker, education, campus, etc etc etc.

I think Cronin evaluates talent with the best of them and so did Pitino. When Pitino is in the sentence my opinion basically gets demoted to useless:) I think Cronin has done an excellent job in the last two classes of evaluating and landing talent so far.

I see where you are coming from. My initial statement was not designed to get a rise out of anyone, or to begin a debate on the merits of his talent evaluation skills. Only to acknowledge on a site such as this, one that is filled with knowledgeable Bearcat fans, that almost all the players that have been offered by this staff are talented. Many times these are under the radar players whose talent is eventually recognized by others. The staff was on Mitch McGary well before he blew up, and players such as AJ Hammons, Chris Perry, Chris Obepka, and Trey Burke who we just missed on weren't Top 50 can't miss players but have been impact players at their programs. Kemba Walker was offered well before he became a concensus Top 20 player. Recognizing talent and securing commitments are 2 separate things, but we are starting to see these coming together now that we have had sustained success on the court.

Besides Cronin, I really trust and believe in Savino and Davis. They do as much if not more in the recruiting process too. Coach Davis is primarily the main reason in getting Clark. I really like the coaches Cronin has with him.

More Video of him... He comes in at the 3:02 and is there the rest of the video. This kid is a CRAZY athlete. I can not wait to see him next year!!

I hope we brought some recruits to the Memphis game hahahaha:) 18K is twice what we are getting

I like the shoe, now that were playing great ball and getting into conference play we'll get some big time crowds. A crowed shoe is a hard place to play wait till we play Memphis again this time at the show
