I wouldn't mind a project for Mick at this point for this reason.... Strickland and Clark along with DeBerry seem to have some inside game and will be able to play big time minutes right away. Given that we are now able to take on a project without trying to throw him in the fire right away and actually develop him.

Just going by the law of averages and the way our big men recruits tend to pan out, I expect at least one of the big men coming in next year to not pan out. Strickland, DeBerry, Moore... one of those guys. I don't see anything in particular to make me believe that, but it just always seems to work out that way. I wouldn't call Clark a can't-miss prospect, but he will be a contributor at the very worst.

He's definitely the recruit I'm most excited about in this class.

Agreed, although my excitement for Quadri is beginning to grow as I have found more highlights on him. Looks like Quadri is finally playing more like a big man and less like a guard. Clark looks more polished and ready to go than most recruits we've had in recent years.

Next year is going to be interesting. The bulk of the playing time is going to be with the freshman and sophomore class.

Will next year be considered a rebuilding year? I would think so. One should not have high expectations from freshman and sophomores. UK is a good example. Many of the UK fans thought they would be 40-0 National Champions this year. Calipari has taken them from #1 to #19. Simply put, you do not know what you are really getting with freshman.

It could be rough. Role players will have to become main players if that team will be successful. There will be serious growing pains; I would consider it a majpr success for such a young team to make the tournament.

what will this year be considered?

I think the success of next years team will largely be effected by how this team finishes. If the freshman continue to develop and earn meaningful minutes we should be better next year.

Been saying for over a year that @Gary11_Clark is way underrated. Easily a top 75 guy on the low end. #Cincinnati stole one from ACC country

No doubt about it!

Is there another evaluation period coming? It's hard to believe he won't crack the top 100 or better. I'm not always a fan of how many stars a player has by their name the right fit is more important - however in this case both (4-5 star rating and fit) seem very possible, plus it's good for national reputation.

There will be new rankings coming out in the next few months. Clark won't get to 5 but deserves to get to a 4 star.

love it! I have a really good feeling about this kid, he's got a complete game, he is college ready right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Lawrence starting at the 4 and 5 next year if Lawrence put on some weight. But ether way he is going to get some serious minutes.

I'll say it again. I think the 2013/2014 classes will take UC to an elite 8 by Caupain's senior year.

I would be pretty thrilled about that, actually. I think Jermaine Lawrence has more in common with Kevin Garnett than he does with Kevin Durant. He doesn't need to get to 250, but 225-230 would be sufficient without giving up any of his athleticism.

Haha I agree with you I don't want him to look like yancy gates. But his shot looks amazing from 15 feet he hasn't gotten it to fall as.much as we'd like but you can tell he has great touch. I just don't want to see him get pushed around especially if he would play our 5 next year. He and Clark down low would stretch out defenses and we have great rebounding gaurds.
