Oh I make my own predications and don't follow Chad like most people on here and you guys say oh don't listen to Bearcatboy he doesn't know anything but i was right about Moore but when Chad guess and gets it wrong it's ok because he has inside info but not from mick great double standard.

You seem to follow Chad quite a bit because you are always commenting about him. I would say from your comments you might follow him more than most. I don't follow Chad but I place a certain value on what he has to say based on the perception that he actually talks to certain players, coaches, and insiders. I can't prove it...but it seems reasonable to assume...I could be wrong. I think most rational members on this board are similar to me and follow the "concensus opinion" rather than banking on one opinion or source.

You seem to be insulting the intelligence of "most people" on this board by insinuating they follow one person and don't know how to (or aren't interested in) being objective because they are basically dumb blind sheep hanging on every word of one person. You may have great resources (and we are all open and even interested to hear your opinion) but your delivery methods are less than desireable sometimes.

By the way, I will also stick up for you a bit and let you know that I don't think Chad's responses are always that optimal either. There is no need to tell people they don't know what they are talking about or are clueless. Chad has no idea what sources anyone else has...the only thing he knows is that his sources are giving him different information.

I think it would be best if EVERYONE chose to be a little more respectful when they respond to another post or poster...especially knowing how fickle and fluid recruiting can be.

Chad has been much better recently. Not saying I agree with everything he has said, but he is another source we can use for info. Can we all stop being jackasses, it's freaking recruiting, some recruits grandmas don't even know where they are going, let alone an outside source. At best, recruiting is an educated guess. Some people have better educated guesses than others, but it is still an educated guess nonetheless. Who gives a shit who was right and wrong, we got a good recruit and we should all be happy. We are getting the recruits we have struggled to get in the past few years, so this is a good sign. Big thing with Quadri is his weight, which is getting better, but we cannot have a Yancy Gates situation where he is playing at 280-290 instead of the 265 listed in the media guide.

Thank you for your opinion and I will take that into consideration when I post.

“He’s a guy who’s got to develop a back-to-the-basket game,” he said. “Right now he has a nice touch, he’s a little too infatuated with stepping outside and shooting 3′s. He’s gotta rebound more. He only had six rebounds, he’s got to rebound more. He’s got to learn to play 6-8. He’s lost 60 pounds, he’s in the best shape of his life, but he’s gotta learn to play 6-8.”

I think it's great that he is in better BB shape. From what I have heard I don't think for one second he is going to see much "wing" action. We need low post presence and this kid can provide some of that with a little hard work and D1 coaching. He's got the body. We have plenty of perimeter players so I think it's best for this team if he can play most of his minutes down low. Unless of course we have better options down low...then we could let him roam around the perimeter a bit more.

Yeah, that's great, but he has gotta stick with that. He will never be quick, I can tell by his highlights that he doesn't really have wing speed, so keeping the weight down must be a priority. He looks like a 4 to me. Maybe even a 5 if you want to have a quicker lineup.

Despite the arguing about who was right or wrong how awesome is it that we actually got a verbal in the early part of the year instead of feeling like we are under the gun during the late signing period. A nice relief...Good job to Mick and Darren.

Not only that... But it looks like we have a great shot tomorrow as well. Will be nice to fully put the press on Grantham and get a head start on the '15 guys.

damn, seen some serious nut hangers in my time but you may take the cake.

hopefully he feels the sameway or this just becomes really weird.

I respect people that take the time to actually try to find out information and post it here. That includes people like Jeff and Jack and Chad. People need to start being respectful and quit acting like 8 year olds. This is the last thing I am saying on this topic. Get the recruiting threads back to actual recruiting info please.

I am very happy about Moore but I simply do not see him playing the three ever in major college ball but he has the potential to be a very good four man and if we get Clark and or Grantham this team is going to have a very bright future.

I agree, while continued weight loss will help Moore, he doesn't have the speed to be a 3. He could develop into one hell of a 4 if they help him become a decent post player. He would have the ability to go by slower 4s, make good passes, knock down some shots, and still score a little bit in the post. Tough to defend someone when you don't know what is coming.....

I agree everything about him says 4 or 5 and I don't see 3 in his D1 future. Other than decent outside shooting he doesn't have the skill set for a wing type player and we have too many people who can play minutes at the 3 or small 4. We need true PF's and C's most of all. He has that potential...and that's where he is likely to get the most minutes on this team. Especially if we land Clark and/or Grantham.

Here is a quote from Moore in an article from the Star Ledger...

"I went through all the pros and cons with my family at a family meeting," Moore told The Star-Ledger in a phone call on Tuesday. "It basically came down to what school I felt more comfortable at and which coach I felt more comfortable with."

He also said he had a real tough time telling the SHU coaches about his decision.
