Would like us to pursue a 5th year PF or C like Shon Miller at UConn along with a HS wing like Corprew. Reality is we'll likely settle for a JUCO and an under the radar HS guard/wing.

A 5th year grad player would be great. Didn't we miss on Sterling Gibbs who went to UConn?

I hope to god we don't settle for the second scenario you mentioned.

A transfer big obviously wouldn't help for next year. And is there a juco big out there that will be better than Moore, Brooks, or Scott? Can/will Scott be able to be a backup at the 3? Bc if he is more of a 4 I don't think we'd need a 6th 4/5. Clark and Washington will probably combine to average 55 minutes at the very least at the 4/5. Moore, Brooks, and Scott would need to combine for 25 minutes max. I doubt there is a juco big guy out there that could come in right away and give us better minutes than those guys. But idk.

5th year grad transfers don't sit out. Thats what I was referring to.

The problem with finding a graduate transfer big is we won't have a lot of playing time to offer. If we are to get a transfer and I think it's unlikely it would have to be a wing. Evans will man one spot and the other is wide open with Cobb graduating but we do have Cumberland and KJ returning. If we bring in a player it will be a wing.

Scott is a 4. Think of him like a Justin Jackson type. Washington and Clark will be the two bigs primarily and, should the others not be able to give servicable minutes, I would look for us to play "small" with Evans at the 4.

I wonder if we'll ever go with Scott/Clark/Washington together at times. If they're all comfortable facing up, that'd be interesting.

With immediate playing time, competing for titles, facilities and program moving players to the professional ranks as the keys to getting high end talent. I look for the 2017 class to be a difference maker. After next year you'll have KJ and Caupain spots open. You'll have a very talented group returning. Clark,Washington and Evans. Now I haven't mentioned others who may step up into that group but certainly guys like JJ or Scott or Cumberland may push their way into that group. Let's say one does, recruiting for a PG or to lead this kind of returning talent shouldn't be hard to do. If it's another wing it may be a bit tougher but still doable A one and doner wouldn't be out of the question. You'd also have your facility upgrades complete and next years team should be very successful.

Just my thoughts.

i think Cumberland will back up Evans next year. Where Scott plays will be determined by how he has developed physically. I think Mick is actively looking for a wing to replace the perimeter game we will lose with Cobb. If he does it wouldn't surprise me to see KJ in the exact role he has this year next. Coming off the bench.

Tre Scott's ball skills (shooting handles passing) far exceed J. Jackson's I'm not saying he will play the 3 but he has some of those skills.

I hope you are right but I can tell you he wasn't recruited as a 3. If he has better ball skills as you say, he will be a match up problem as a 4. He won't see playing time as a 3 and that's not a negative on the kid. I think he could be a really nice player for UC over the course of his career playing inside.

Carlik Jones(lil cousin), aiken just scored 57 in playoffs game. Special kid on kj level Mick NEVER showed interest. Most popular high school player in city no way in hell you don't at least try work walk on or see if he late bloomer. 2x public schools player of year.

He'll do well in the Big South. Not high major player.

Local kid who you use for bait to catch bigger fish down line. Would put more fans in seat on local level. More popular in city than both Yancy and kj we're. He's type guard you need to make deep runs in March. Has all the tools but size

Grad transfer addition: Florida A&M's Malcolm Bernard told ESPN he has gotten his release. 14.4 ppg, 7.1 rpg, 4.3 apg.
seems like a good player but I want a big to back up Washington at he 5. A PG and another wing with he other two scholly's. If I can not get a PG I wait until the following year when will have a bunch of playing time to offer along with seniors Washington and Clark with maturing Cumberland and Evans. Next two years should be very nice for the Cats.

Hope there is no interest from us - horrible shooting percentages and T.O. to assist ratio
