Why are we recruiting too 100 players and not playing them right away? Cumberland should be exactly what you have been complaining about mick not doing and now they he gets a top 100 recruit you want him to come off the bench..... Top 100 recruits don't like to come off the bench so what does that tell all of the other top recruits.

Just not true. A lot (most?) top 100 recruits outside of top 25 probably come off the bench. Maybe not at the end of the year but certainly at the beginning, especially the way Cronin emphasizes defense.

The only thing with Brooks is that, now this is just from me watching YouTube vids, he doesn't look like he has a great offensive game besides easy layups and dunks. Not saying he won't be able to score at all, but I think he's more of an defensive/ rebounder. Which is fine, if he can come in for 10 mins a game when we have foul trouble and be comfortable playing D, I'm all for it. I am expecting Caupain, Evans, Washington and Clark to score. Hopefully Cumberland too.

Cumberland

From watching Cumberland play, he is going to be a good player for UC. He is going to have to play with a lot more intensity than he has shown. He has to get his motor turning at a much higher rate. The speed of the game is going to make him adjust. Of course in high school the other team spends quite a bit of time just hanging all over him. Playing defense at the college level will be the key.

people need to remember nysier Brooks played in one of the top prep teams in the country so every single game he played in the other big from that team has a 90% chance of going D1. Brooks had 2 great guards on his team and really no set plays for him. He actually runs the floor pretty well and is an excellent rebounder. He will not have as much problem adjusting to the physicality of the college game as most recruits do, because he has seen it all this year.

That's a good point. But, also I feel like a lot of his points are because those two great guards can get by their man easily, bring help from the big man, which leaves Brooks open standing under the basket. I know I may sound like I am bashing him, I really am not. I think if he can come in and provide some energy off the bench, get some boards and not be a defensive liability, he will be a perfect fit. Then, his offensive game will just take some time to adjust and evolve.

Tell that to top 20 recruits at Kansas in Cheick Diallo and Carlton Bragg, just because they are a top 100 recruit does not mean they can start right away.

The difference is top 20 recruits at Kansas are playing behind top 10 recruits that are juniors and seniors. We do not have that luxury

from Cleveland. Could be a good fit. Hopefully this Vegas issue can get resolved and Mick can get back to filling a few gaps in next years team which could be very good.

If nothing else, now Cronin can tell recruits that a school tried to break the bank to lure him away.

Says he is looking for more playing time usually not a good sign for us, but he does look like a good shooter.
