I have said this before but Scott comes from a very small coastal Georgia town, maybe the adjustment to a large urban college and all that brings had something to do with the decision.

Only the staff and Scott really know. That said, Mick did say on one of the coaches shows (I believe) that he needed some time to adjust and that he didn't want to waste a year with limited minutes available. He also said ultimately it was up to the player.

A fifth year senior would be nice, but a good grad transfer is not going to transfer somewhere where he is going to be coming off the bench.

That is very true. I just don't see a grad transfer coming to UC.

I could see a grad transfer guard coming here. You have an open spot at the 2. Cumberland could come in and take it. Could go to Kevin Johnson. No definite incumbent though. Could really have a PG or SG because Troy could play either. Other than that, I have a hard time seeing a big man coming here. Maybe a 3, now that I think about it. Jacob Evans is skilled enough to play the 2 and man, that would be a LONG team.

After Troy caupain leaves his senior year and we don't have someone to replace him than that's a situation I can see it. But this year it's a very unattractive look for a grad transfer, just no playing time available.

We just lost both our centers and we have 1 proven player at the 4 and 5 combined. I could see a good player getting up to 20 minutes at the 5. Washington could play the 4 when Clark is out.

Clark and Washington will both get 30 minutes a piece where is the 20 minutes coming from you speak of

If he can't start over KJ and a true frosh Cumberland, no point in recruiting a grad transfer.

You just answered that :). I've been saying I hope for a 3 man rotation at the 4/5 with a good 5 to be on the floor with Clark or Washington when the other is out. I don't like the hodge podge of Scott, Moore, and Brooks. Hopefully one of them is up for the task if we don't add a big.

I just don't know if I can think of any grad transfer worth talking about that has ever came off the bench

So simple minded. If we're recruiting a grad transfer for SG, he ought to be much better than KJ or a true freshman. So the playing time thing doesn't work with me.

Why are we recruiting too 100 players and not playing them right away? Cumberland should be exactly what you have been complaining about mick not doing and now they he gets a top 100 recruit you want him to come off the bench..... Top 100 recruits don't like to come off the bench so what does that tell all of the other top recruits.

If Washington is foul prone like so many bigs are ( Ellis, Moore) we better have some kind of back-up plan for the 5 spot. Don't even say Moore or Clark.
