I'm so sick of hearing Quadri brings offense. He takes terrible shots and takes alot of them. He travels almost Everytime he gets the ball. Hes not a good passer. The ball sticks in his hand making the offense be stagnant. That's not being a great offensive player. Just bc he has the stupidity to chuck up the terrible shots he takes and makes one every once in awhile doesn't mean he is an offensive juggernaut. And for every bucket he gets he gives up 3 or 4 on people getting easy rebound put backs bc he doesn't rebound at all. Or from a defender blowing by him bc his closeouts and footwork are awful. If he gets alot of minutes this year we are screwed.

Quadri was at .379 FG% when the rest of the bigs were between .519 and .564. So no...he wasn't very good on offense...he's just likes to shoot.

Troy and cobb struggled most out of all players that played real minutes last year. JJ like everybody else not named kj struggled with defensive rotations last year. Cobb, troy, and somewhat clark was bad on the ball defense
Have to agree our on the ball defense was terrible. Funny though they did vote Clark Conference defensive player of the year. Even so he had his difficulty playing on the ball defense it just didn't stand out as much because the guards were getting blown by nightly. That is why we gave up so many open 3's

Where is all the talk coming from that Scott is still struggling?

Apparently it's based on the idea that we decided to redshirt him last year because someone thought Quadri was better prepared at the time and then we went out looking for a 6th big man this spring. Nobody needs 6 bigs if you have 2 starters and 2 serviceable backups. It's not a vote of confidence...but maybe there is something else to it.

Dan Cronin said he can't ever be thought of as a wing bc he "can't score a lick". I'm pretty sure he said that after the season too.

Ouch! I'm sure that's an exaggeration since he can shoot the 3 and dunk the ball. He may not have a great slashing game or post up moves...but there are other ways to get some points. Mainly put backs and the occasional 3?

He can't be any worse than Rubles, Jackson (for 3 years), Moore, etc. All we need for back up minutes is a high motor and athleticism. do the dirty work, dive on the court. He's a great passer so the ball won't get stuck on him. If he has any BB IQ whatsoever I would expect him to be the primary back up with Moore and then I would expect Brooks to redshirt unless he is already better than Quadri.

Current roster, I can't see Brooks red shirting. Plus, Cronin says it's always up to the player if they do or not

I saw on twitter today that he committed to Michigan.

Per folks close to him, @Charles Matthews, UK transfer, has not committed anywhere. Has not visited Michigan yet, but U-M in the mix. Firmly

*he is a senior editor in Michigan

That's the same thing everyone was saying about Scott last year. If Brooks is 5th on the pecking order...there aren't many minutes to be had. If you consider we could also play small ball...he could be the 6th option.

That being said he could be more valuable than Scott which would mean probably no red shirt. Moore will not red shirt.

If Scott athleticism as good as advertised no.way he red shirts. He would be needed to defend on wing
