I don't see SMU losing to anyone in the American except us. Maybe if one game they run into foul trouble. But, I say that for all their games and they are never in foul trouble ha. They are damn good on offense.
I remember watching them in warm-ups at the UC game, they literally made like 20+ jump shots and 3's in a row. I know it's warm ups but it easily trickles down to game time. If they are left with an open look, most likely they are making it. Their shots look perfect.

I still think we have a good chance of beating them at their place.

It'll take a COMPLETE game by our guys at Moody to beat them. I'll give credit to SMU because they are a tough team. I don't like them at all, but they are tough.

Say we don't lose another game except to the them. And they don't either. What is the tie breaker? Or do we share the title?

Part of me wants them to not lose so we have a chance to beat a ranked team but I also don't want to risk losing the AAC title either

I'm not sure how that works. I think we would be co-champs which would suck. Weren't we co-champs with UL the first year? I definitely want them to lose another one besides us. I want to be outright champs.

Lets just win out and we won't have to worry about it.

I refuse to consider any other scenario. LOL!!!!!

I like it! I wish I had that skill. My mind and heart aren't geared that way. Games like the shootout when there is so much hype it just gives me anxiety. It's hard for me to "enjoy" it. To add, I am a very calm person in general, never get too high or low. Except when it comes to UC basketball and UC basketball only. Been that way since the late 90's. Now, when we win, I'm on cloud 9, just getting there is rough sometimes haha.

We were co-champs that year, and a coin-flip determined who was the 1-seed in the conference tournament. Oh, this conference....

I'm glad to know it's not just me who suffers like that.

I'm the same way....if the game were a book, I'd cheat & skip to the ending so I could enjoy the read if a win & maybe avoid the agony a bit if not. :D

Former South Florida guard Jahmal McMurray has committed to SMU, he tells me. Will be eligible in December of 2017. Currently in JUCO.

Even going Juco, i thought you couldnt transfer within the division

Only if USF refuses though right ?

This is a HUGE get for SMU

perhaps because you shouldn't restrict a kid from going anywhere?

I dont make the rules? And I thought there was a rule about transferring within conference because now, even though USF isnt any good he literally knows everything about them and will now play them 4+ times

that's up to each conference and is generally not prohibited. the american, for example, follows pretty much the ncaa transfer rules.
