That second half looked all too familiar. Another year of "Mick's most talented offensive team yet" and another awful offensive performance.

Mick is so fired up.... Wow.
30+ in both halves on the road with the best player barely playing. Don't get me wrong, thus sucks...but we're ok.
Terrible offense...Cronin needs an offensive coordinator like football has..

4 bench points. And in a game where Washington didn't play. Not gonna work.
What's he saying?
Point output today wasn't awful and Wash's foul trouble really hurt. We still disappear on offense for stretches though and those stretches are the difference.
We have 4 really talented players who can make significant contributions on offense. If we could get these guys playing in a better half court system imagine how good we could be. Passing and off the ball movement really need work. Let's hope the staff can figure something out before the season is over because this team could be really good. Defense and toughness will only get this group so far but I think they're talented enough to compete with the best if they can figure out something that works consistently on offense.
We've got some easy game coming up. Honestly should win out until Xavier. (Can beat X too but I'm not looking that far ahead)
What's he saying?
Should have added a grad transfer back court player to come off the bench or start in place of KJ. And before the Mick brigade comes in, Avery Woodson comes off the bench as a grad transfer, so the whole "we have too much competition no one wants to come in and not start" isn't an excuse.
its hard telling a offense player where get buckets when he in his zone. I'll rather him attack and try get in paint using his vert to score. He jumps better than he shoots. he needs more easy looks in post. I'll rather him get the post ups in paint over troy. refs not go calling like they did today in march. troy, cumberland and evans need to dominate getting in paint off the dribble also. not too many guards we go play can match their sizeEvans needs to establish his jumper too instead of driving every single time. I know Cronin drills the don't settle for jumpers message, but Evans is a shot maker. Him making shots is what makes the space. He can't fall in love with the 3, but there's definitely a better balance for him.
Whining about the refs.
mick cant try run same plays when bench comes in. let JJ do his own thing and run offenseWe are top heavy. When those guys are in foul trouble we look sick.
The only good thing I take from this is Troy and Gary looked like they want to belong with Kyle and Jacob. Jacob needs to shoot more.
Interesting development...on a very late timeout I could have sworn I saw Mick looking at Troy and gesturing...you are looking back and forth to pass the ball. I've been telling you for 4 f-ing years to push it...lol!
