I don't have a problem with this at all. If a few analysts get pissed at Mick, they start talking about Cincinnati basketball. For the most part any publicity is good publicity. After our brawl (which was bad publicity) our next game got moved onto ESPN2 from no national coverage. Even from a horrible incident we got good publicity in the aftermath. Let Gotlieb put the eyes of his followers on our team. Nothing said between Gotlieb or Cronin will affect in anyway what goes on with the selection commitee. If Cincinnati becomes a hot topic of conversation on ESPN we get more coverage and better time slots for games.

I have no problem with him doing it internally. In fact, I encourage the chip on the shoulder/us vs the world mentality.

But when he goes out in public and constantly beats that drum, it sounds like he's whining.

Not to me. Sounds like truth. ESPN focuses on certain teams and ignoes others even when they are doing better. Look at all the press UConn gets and they lost, I believe, 9 of 12. I do believe Lunardi is fair with UC.
