Yeah, let's not call out any posters, even if they are morons and post like they are drunk. But if you want to personally attack the coach or any of the players, have at it. No need to hold back when calling the coach disloyal, or saying that the fan base despises him, or overtly state that he has a racial bias, or call for him to be fired, or question the IQ of the players. But if a poster posts something stupid or indecipherable, just pat him on the back, and say good job. Thanks for posting.

"That escalated quickly..."

The reason why we have the coaches that we do have is because we are only aloud to have coaches who will let Mick talk to them crazy. That's why all the good coaches leave because they demand there respect and integrity. Who tells there basketball players to suck there $$$$ and then expect them to get out there and work hard for you? It must be nice. Give respect and you will have everything at you beck and call. I'm specking of production.

If I'm understanding what I think I am from this post (and it truly is hard to decipher) you need to come out and say what it is you are accusing Mick of.

I see you are back to making friends lol. Funny thing is, all concerns and accusations you mentioned, have some credibility. Even if you refuse to admit it. Merry Christmas, Bucky. Guess it is time for our annual ban!

Merry Christmas. Go Bearcats!

Mick's offense scored 102 last night.

I was way more encouraged by the 2nd half offense against Middle Tennessee (a quality team) than I was by last night. Sure, it was a good showing by the offense, but I don't take too much stock in the results of these buy games (Chicago State).

If we can score 60 against the good teams, we will surprise a lot of people in the conference schedule. I don't think anyone expects this team to average 80 points per game, but we can't have those long scoring droughts like we did late last year.

We still shot something like 34 three pointers (which we hit 12 of) last night and got a ton of O rebounds...that still scares me when we won't be able to offensive rebound as amazingly against better competition. And we were able to run a lot more last night...

I was at the game last night...better crowd than I thought for Dec 23. But live you can really see a lot of missed opportunities for entry passes to jackson and lawrence, almost like the guards aren't even looking.

Agree

I just don't understand...

This team continues to rely on half court offense and have no true big man, not to mention maybe one true scorer. They force a ton of turnovers and have few transition points???? In the past it was because Gates can't run the floor. What is it this time?

Please let me see a fast break dunk. Just one. The last I remember was from Darnell Freaggin Wilks

Have you watched any games this year?

Kilpatrick had one last game against MTSU. Shaq has had a few this year where he rips the ball cleanly steals and dunks. JJ has had some transition dunks this year.

i guess you missed JJ against MTS. Why would we want to speed the game up against good teams when we don't have the skilled offensive players to match up. Against weak teams we can push the ball but our recipe for winning against good teams like Pitt will be heavy D and limiting their possessions.

There were 4 fast break dunks in the game yesterday...

Because we also don't have the skilled offensive players to match up in a half court game. At least in an uptempo game the defense is off balance and our bigs can take advantage of the one asset they bring to the table.

Until we develop an offensive strategy, it's all experimental. Gonna be a long season with lots of adaptations.

In order to be an uptempo team you need effective ball handlers, good spacing and good passers. UC is lacking in all three. The best way for Cincinnati to win is to press and trap on defense and hope you make enough shots in the half court. If Cincinnati tried to run with Memphis or Louisville they would get blown out. UC can barely run an effective 2 on 1 break. It might benefit this team if they just minimize possessions like against Pittsburgh and hope they make enough shots.

As the skill levels increase like they will in 2014, UC may be able to play more uptempo.

the strength of the team is its half court defense.running speeds up the game and plays to the strength of opposition. I'm not saying we shouldn't take advantage of other teams TO's but shortening the game works to our advantage. No way we are going to beat the cardinals or Tigers running up and down the court.

No, you may not do it against those two teams, but they can and should do it to other teams. Of course they aren't going to beat UL in a half court game either. The only way to beat them is to create easy points and we all know that never comes in UC's half court offense.
