No required gift for those. They are bleacher seats in the upper deck.
Ok cool, thanks. I actually don't mind the bleachers. I'd rather be lower with a better physical seat obviously, but it doesn't bother me sitting up there.

Does anyone know if there is a required gift for the cheapest season tickets? Grad school has caused me to be lacking funds, but $99 for every home game is too good to pass up. Not to mention I've always wanted to officially be a season ticket holder and support the program.
Not to pick on you, but that makes it sound like you let your seats go solely because of the venue. I have a feeling that's not the case.

There were many reasons and I am not going to open up a hornets nest by stating them all. But I would enjoy the change in scenery.
Most games you could move down. In my logic, the games where you couldn't move down because it's full are the games where there will be good attendance and thus a good atmosphere and you'd more likely want to be at anyway. 99 bucks for roughly 20 games is not bad at all. FWIW they've had this deal for a couple years, I think they just did a good job of advertising it during this current season for next year so people heard about it.
I've been wondering, if we were to move downtown would we knock down 5/3rd? Maybe build a great football practice facility, and build a great basketball practice facility where the bubble is?
I only bring this up because I believe a decision is coming very soon on what to do because the discussion is gaining steam by the minuteI've been wondering, if we were to move downtown would we knock down 5/3rd? They could move the women's basketball and volleyball to the armory. Graduations could take place at nippert. It would make no sense to keep 5/3rd when we could knock it down and build something that could help our football and basketball programs.Nah, it could still house campus events (like the freshman convocation) and women's basketball and volleyball...

With what money? Revamping US Bank Arena would already cost the school plenty. I don't think they'll just start knocking down buildings and revamping all athletics just because men's basketball got an upgrade.
If they move downtown UC would not be dishing out a lot of money. It would be the arena owner and maybe the city spending the money. If UC spends a lot of money it would be on renovating 5/3 or building a new arena.
And I'm sure they would not be very pleased knowing we had a new building in the pipeline for long term plans when they're dishing out the millions to get their place up to snuff. If they want to do it, they'll want it to pay back for decades.
There isn't any money for a new arena. Apparently there were some discussions about a small renovation to get some things up to code at 5th 3rd but nothing major.
With the looming 2016 GOP convention, I would much rather prefer a state of the art US Bank Arena to play in. Whatever will generate the most $$$ for the Athletic Department. I don't really care if basketball games are moved off campus, we've got a damn football stadium in the middle of campus that should be enough for alumni that want to get back to campus a few times a year.
Agreed, that's why I prefer a brand new on campus arena but moving to US Bank appears to be more feasible. There is no real way to make US Bank a state of the art arena. It was old when it opened, and there are just too many structural problems to bring it up to date. If ever an arena needed to be torn down and replaced that is the one. It was a misbegotten venture from the start and should never have been built in the first place.
