RPI does not use margin of victory for anything. It uses winning percentage, opponent winning percentage and opponent's opponent winning percentage. Stop talking about stuff you have no idea about...

Not having a clue has never stopped you from posting, therefore, it won't stop me either.

In your dreams. I am the most accurate, intellectual, insightful poster in this message board's history. I am basically always right and Mick recycles half the things I type a few days later. Apologize for your nonsense, peasant...

Based on the final margin logic...

West Va beat NKU by 46.

Xavier beat NKU by 12.

West Va would beat Xavier by 34.

Right?

Exactly.. Scoring margin says nothing about your overall team other than how good your team was on that night and how good the other team was on that night.

Basketball is all about matchups, Ebbs and flows and thus winning by 16 doesn't mean your a worst team than another team that beats the same team by 40.

NKU probably had there hottest shooting performance of the entire season and if they played Norfolk state 10x, no way would the scoring margin be that high every game.

Add in that UC clearly outmatched Norfolk st and the game was clearly never really at threat, just makes me believe UC didn't "get up" for this opponent. NKU on the other hand did. They want wins. I mean they also played Michigan pretty well as well last night. Probably says more about NKU than it does UC or Norfolk, they might be hitting there stride right even if they are losing.

That Said, we shut down norfolk st leading scorer but I will give them they did have some athletes on that team. They had guys that were absolutely fearless taking it to the rim and came away with some huge huge dunks on UC

Lol....many in here bought right into my earlier extrapolation which said our starters would have won 77-38. Are you now berating my empirical data? I get hammered for my eye-test, now my empirical data is shot down. Can you guys settle on one or the other. You're starting to prove how truly meaningless the stats are again. I only did my earlier extrapolation to satisfy you stat guys. That little calculation was as stupid as this one.

Agreed.

Your insight of a coach having to much talent, therefore is the reason why he struggles, and comparing a football coach record with a basketball coach record is top notch stuff.
