I love hearing Mick say "You gotta have the dog in you. The coach can't give you the dog." Music to my ears. Mick was on point tonight imo. This is the Mick that's going to be the player's coach we want him to be. And he sounds way happier too.

Was on a flight during the game. Someone give me a recap. I'll watch it on replay tomorrow.

Cobb was the Cobb we love...knocking down shots. Clark was super aggressive, looked to score, dove on the floor, played in rhythm with no hesitation on midrange jumpers. Our big guys flashed to the free throw line and set screens with a real purpose. Mick let Jenifer and Moore play through a few mistakes and bad shots in the 1st half. Ellis didn't force anything and filled up the stat sheet. Norfolk St 3s were mostly after the game was decided. Caupain was aggressive and was a very good facilitator.

Cobb and Clark show with a good supporting cast. Caupain and Ellis played well. Our 4 best players played very very well. KJ and Moore not good. Others had bright spots and mistakes...but overall looked pretty good

Please do away with the hockey pattern subs. Mick doesnt do this against real teams, so dont do it against cup cakes. Get some consistency going
The problem with this team is identity right now. Playing different ways against different teams is not helping imo

Yes I don't get this. We need our subs to play with more players from our starting 5 so they don't get frustrated by playing poorly as a group. I don't get the point of that. How does JJ build chemistry and timing with guys like Ellis and Clark if he doesn't play with them much. It's always DeBerry, Moore, Evans and KJ it seems. He was in there a little with Troy tonight which was good. At the end of a blowout I can see it...but sub them in for a few minutes with starters in the middle of the first half to see what happens.

He had 2 fouls in the first half. I wonder if he would have played more otherwise. I kind of hope not.

I wasn't able to watch the game. So he played 10 minutes and had 3 turnovers?

Look like Cobb found his stroke, obviously against lesser competition but UC is going to need him.

Mick's substitution patterns have always been out of whack. I remember back when Lance Stephenson was here, he'd score 6 straight points or so and I'd think "man, Lance is going to bust open this game", then Mick would sub him out for 5 minutes. Made no sense. I think Mick overthinks it sometimes with sub patterns.

Mick tried his best to keep lance here 2-3yrs. Didn't give him keys to offense until he needed wins for tournament
