I don't think you'll see any more New Mexico or Xavier ugly games with or without Jackson. I think those games woke these guys up on what they have to do effort wise all the time.

We have done this all year, and eventually, it will catch up to us. We need to go for the throat when we are up by 19, not get lackidasical and give up wide open 3s to the best player on the other team. Sometimes I think we get content, great teams don't do that. All and all, however, good win without JJ. If you would've told me that we could score 80 w/o JJ before this game, I probably would've looked at you funny. Also, great game by Shaq, I hope it because a habit, not an outlier performance.

They had Pepper and we had SK. Wow what a show. Pepper has such a nice shot. 9 assists for Caupain! Thats huge. Contributions from everyone was needed and we got that.

Caupain, as much as I like him, also made a few stupid mistakes. Oh well, you take the good with the bad with a frosh. The best thing about freshmen is next year they will be sophomores.....

I had no plans to drink today, but I am having a couple to calm my nerves. Almost broke the remote control and headphones sitting next to me in a fit of rage when Pepper hit the tying 3.

Mick said on post game show he has no idea if JJ will be able to play Thursday.

Looks like a day-to-day type of injury. As much as I hope he plays, we are already essentially a lock for the tournament and one game isn't going to make or break our season.

Listening to Cronin on 700. Talking about JJ,he really wanted to play the 2nd half. Cronin said the only way youre playing is if I'm not coaching! Haha I love it.

Same ankle that caused him to miss the last 3 regular season games last year.

I told you guys this was going to be tough! The Cats are playing with fire right now. They'll be ranked #12/13 but I don't think they are that good.

I hate to say it, but I think at Louisville is a loss with or without him. If he's not ready to go it will be ugly.
Dave my wish at this time is split with UL,SMU,UCONN, and Memphis. Win against everyone else. That leaves us 14-4. I'll take that all day. We need wins against UCONN and UL to get step 1 accomplished.

My biggest fear has been injury. Hope JJ's is minor and he recovers quickly, but ankle sprains take time. He won't be anywhere near 100% vs LOU if he even plays. Now it becomes an entirely different game and team. We'll need to play small and zone to be effective. Every team will be coming at the glass w/o JJ. I don't want to see a repeat of X and/or NM, but.........new ball game. Good choice by Cronin to have KJ on the floor at the end. He's been really dependable at the line in late game situations.

Without Lawrence and Jackson, Rubles will be the primary 5 man. The same Rubles who was playing the 3 spot last year. They'll have to play a lot of Sanders at the 4 or even 5. Yikes.

I think closing out a good Memphis team 27-13 over the final 11 minutes says more about this team than Houston and Temple shooting a collective 15-22 from 3 in the 2nd half of those games.

This was just one of those games that you are happy to escape with a victory, because a lot of fluky things happened that pointed to an upset. On average, about half of the points that we allow per game come from the 3pt/FT line. Temple scores about 45% of their points this way. Today they got a remarkable 71% (54 pts) of their scoring from the line and beyond the arc. Aside from 2-pt jump shooting, Temple was unconscious today.

Cincinnati is cautiously optimistic that @JumpingJackuc5 will play on Thursday at Louisville #BearcatsVoice

Honestly if he doesn't play I won't be that upset. Gives younger players a chance to get more run and one game doesn't make or break a season. They'll get UofL at home too..

Troy Caupain 8 points and 9 assist. Kevin Johnson 7 points including 2 huge fts. Shaq Thomas 15 points. Sanders with a huge block. Rubles 9 points 4 assist. Excellent team win on the road against a team that shot lights out from the 3 and who made nearly all their 24 fts. Not to mention UC being without their emotional leader and best defensive player. I will bet not one UC fan didn't say "oh sh*t we're in trouble" when Jackson went out. 17 assist today. This was a team win from a team fighting thru a lot of adversity right now. I love it.

If only we could score 80 every game, that would make things a helluva a lot easier with how good our defense usually is.

Hopefully he will be able to go, UC will need him.

SK led the team with 8 rebounds today, he really stepped up in all aspects of this game, it is what we have come to expect out of him.

Ultimately they're doing what they have to do regardless of the situation they find themselves in. Say what you want my friends that's the mark of a good team. I will worry about Louisville tomorrow but tonight im proud of the guys.
