Was thinking who is everyone looking at to help step up and be a big time star beside SK and JJ

I'm going with Rubles, this man is going to have to be huge in the rebounding game and hopefully can get some double digit scoring out of him.

Shaq if he can produce that game like he did last year against Creighton would be big time.

TC, KJ, Lawrence all freshman cant wait to see what we get out of them, I think their play will be huge especially Lawrence if JJ gets these quick 2 fouls.

quick prediction im going CATS over UCF
CATS over UCONN
CATS OVER Cards and we get a 2 seed

I agree with pretty much everything you said. Not sure if we will make it to the championship round but I hope so. I expect/want to see TC continue to play major minutes. He has been a strong factor in our last 2 victories. He is one of our main facilitators. We just need to stay aggressive on offense and not settle for a quick/easy jumper. We need to work on getting a good shot.

Simply put the offense moves/flows better with Caupain at the point. I would say the keys are:

1) JJ staying on the floor- He cant pick up quick fouls and miss nearly a half. He also has to be assertive offensively.

2) Titus Rubles being assertive on offense - He doesn't need 24 but he has to attack and get to the line where he can give UC some points. Would like to see him take 7-9 shots with 90% going at the basket.

3) Shaq Thomas - He has to be a threat and add rebounding.

4) Bench points - Said it all year, UC needs 16-22 points a night from the bench. Let me add KJ needs 10-12 minutes to keep SK fresh.

5) Third scorer - Somebody has to step up each game to compliment JJ and SK.

Yup pretty much all of this. Also some quality minutes from Sanders would help Which is part of your number 4 :)

Things To do, To Win It All

Kilpatrick= I don't want him to be force to do it all.

Jackson= DO NOT get in foul trouble, be more patient when defending on the block, attack offensively.

Rubles= I just want him to play smart, let other teammates get open rebounds, stop the shot fake jumper, if he wants to score he needs to drive strong and attack their bigs.

Thomas= Use his athletic ability to create buckets for himself or even create a drive and dish for others to get shots.

Guyn= Is this guy consider one of our best perimeter defenders? Be more aggressive defending and wear their guards now.

Caupain= No turnovers from this kid would be a great personal goal for him this postseason for him to build on. Also, like other top guards is drive to the hoop.

Sanders= This is one player I feel does fine when he is on the floor. I'm not gonna say he needs more points or rebounds or less turnovers.

Lawrence= He seems very tense in games and he needs to become more comfortable and relax in games. Just doing that he can become more productive.

Johnson= Play this youngster with SK and have multiple 3 point threats on the floor. If he gets confident he will score alot.

Nyarsuk= he needs to be positive the rest of the way and do what he is told. I believe he can play in the 2-3 zone and give Mick a change it up defense.

Shaq played like a man against Creighton last year in the tournament, leading me to believe he would make massive strides this year. He hasn't quite made those strides, but if he can play like he did, this team is dangerous.

I agree with all of you so far. We could be one and done if we don't have a third scorer in double digits every game. I could even see a sad first round exit if Jackson picked up 2 quick fouls in the first half of a game and SK had an off night. But I hope to see at least Sweet 16 if not the Elite 8 for Mick's great year. I guess it all depends on the luck of the draw

Agree 100% on KJ he passes the eye test. He looks comfortable and he makes you guard him.. makes some mistakes when really pressured but that's to be expected I really like his game and he is gaining some confidence the more he feels he can contribute.

Agree, but like TC I'd like to see him more aggressive to the basket. He's a very good finisher. That's how you have to play to beat UL. They will put you on the line and it opens the outside.

YES!!

The most impressive thing about KJ is he does not act like the game is to big for him. When I think about how few minutes he has gotten and how he stepped into that 3 in crunch time last night. Wow!!! We could have something special on our hands. Like all freshmen he'll turn it over on occasion but he will get that correct with experience.
