You are right but lets not get ahead of ourself. The team was amped up today. They need to maintain that intensity during the next 6 game stretch.
 
The freshman looked great. Mature beyond their years. JJ is on some kind did roll right now. Shaq looked aggressive. By the end of the games SK always seems to have 15-18 points. Caupain might be our best at running the break. He's much quicker and faster than I thought. Great win!
 
Team just looks so much different when they have a guy who can post up on the block. JJ has made a huge difference. Even if he doesn't score you still have to respect him. Just creates so many better opportunities for others.

Fortunately, I don't play the games... ha. Hopefully the team won't get ahead of themselves, even if I do.
 
WELCOME BACK TO THE BIG BOY CONFERENCE MEMPHIS!!!! Just how badly do you think the18,000 fans there wanted this one? Sucks to be them!!

Caupain and Jackson were big. Shaq is coming on. KJ needs to play more. Loved how he stepped right up and knocked down two free throws after we had just missed the front end of bonus twice. I spent most of the game yelling at SK, but he did well down the stretch.

This was one of the best coaching performances by Mick as well. Loved his game management and player substitutions. Absolutely wonderful victory!!!!!

MC has been coaching well for quite some time. Share your enthusiasm with some of the non believers at the next home game. Having a happy cheering fan base is a good thing. Also as hard as these young men play it is well deserved.

I'm noticing Mick isn't as quick on the trigger with the young guys the past few games. Everyone seems confident right now... very happy with his game management lately.

Judging by the bunch of thugs yelled at UC bench that was pick up on the radio pretty bad. Seems they still hate us also. lol.

Good point. JJ affected this game much more than his point total. He commanded respect on D, made great passes, and once again blocked a ton of shots. Not to mention he exudes confidence which is infectious.

These guys are having fun right now...largely do to JJ's personality.
 
I think we were all a little disappointed with SK today, but aside from missing his first 3 shots and the inexplicable missed pass to Caupain, he didn't have a terrible game. Still went 5-11 from the field with Memphis really guarding him close. The good news is that when Kilpatrick is being face guarded, our other guys are starting to step up. Kilpatrick is a very good player, but he's not the kind of transcendent Kevin Durant/Carmelo Anthony type you can ride to victory all season. It's important for our other guys to score when he's not able to, and we look like we're well on our way to that.
