I love caupain, id still like to see guyn play 12-14 mins per game though. He had 1 bad turnover, but he had some pretty big rebounds and in the half court defense there is no question he is solid. Love caupain though I think he should get the majority of the minutes, I'm just saying don't give up on guyn yet.

I think we were all a little disappointed with SK today, but aside from missing his first 3 shots and the inexplicable missed pass to Caupain, he didn't have a terrible game. Still went 5-11 from the field with Memphis really guarding him close. The good news is that when Kilpatrick is being face guarded, our other guys are starting to step up. Kilpatrick is a very good player, but he's not the kind of transcendent Kevin Durant/Carmelo Anthony type you can ride to victory all season. It's important for our other guys to score when he's not able to, and we look like we're well on our way to that.

He did what he's suppoe to do. He closed the game out. Good to see we can beat good teams on the road without him having his best game.

Robert all shooters have bad games. My issue with SK today was his decision making was not good today for a 5th year senior. Towards the end of the game he had I a couple of opportunities to run clock and rushed shots instead of pulling the ball out and milking clock.

Totally agree Robert. SK is a good player but isn't the best at creating his own shot. As long as other teams concentrate on him it is very important that the other guys do step up. SK had the full attention of the Memphis guards today.

We should crack that top 25 this week JJ is for real he have to lead the country in block shots!

Today's game is why I want Shaq to have more time and Sanders less. Also less for Guyn and more for caupain and KJ.

Future is bright with these kids

Don't forget the no pass on a 3 on 1 break. SK still does a lot more good then bad and always finds a way to get 15. Even withh jj coming on strong, this is still sk's team.

i guess that's why most coaches say that they can live with the physical mistakes but hate the mental breakdowns.

2 of 3 freshmen are coming on like gangbusters. Now, if Lawrence can take that next step, this team could me mean by March. His shots are all hitting the back of the rim, but I still like that he is playing with more confidence. I'm really looking forward to seeing everything come together for him andI I believe that we will see that happen before long.

I like Sanders' new role playing the 4 for a few minutes per game. Although I love what Rubles brings to the table defensively, I am okay with him giving up a few minutes to Sanders if it means our offense produces.

don't be fooled by one game. ST was a big part of the game plan today because Memphis runs with 4 guards. With his athletism length he is a nightmare for them. First-possession of game was designed for him he just missed the bunny. Sanders has played very well.

I was furious with that no-pass, but it's an anomaly. Fact is, SK came into this season needing to be the man, and he's just now getting consistent help these past few games. He has an aggressive mentality and finishes well on the break. I'm sure he will see the tape and be just as disgusted as we are that he missed that opportunity.

Good post Robert. I was really mad after that non pass but you put it in perspective nicely.

Please please please let Caupain run the point for 30 minutes and let SK play a true 2 guard. Then just give me a little more KJ.

right but until he gets a year in our weight room I think the game will be tough for him. He is being asked to play the 4 and he just isn't physical enough right now. That is where not having that extra body in Strickland really shows up.

I have been impressed with Cronin in regards to him not quick to call timeouts. He really let's this team play through whatever is going on. He never panicked when Memphis made a few easy crowd pleasers and just let our guys get through it. IMO it shows confidence in his players.

Lawrence is a year away from being a major contributor. This season he will have great moments, but he's not consistent enough yet. No big deal.

agree completely. You can see he has lots of skills he is just a tad behind physically right now. Next year he'll be a beast.
