On the bright side I think Memphis was up like 22-4 over Tulane early and it’s a 1 pt game at half. Lol at everything!!

Watching this game, all I can think about is how Tulane's logo should be carrying a trumpet instead of a megaphone. What better New Orleans mascot than Louis Armstrong as a pissed off wave?

Long year

This is just going to be a long year. UC is simply not that good. They don't have real go to guys. Even early in the year last we weren't great and lost close games but once Cumberland was healthy, we won those game. There isn't a Cumberland on this team. I like Brannen but stop making excuses. X loss was in part because it was X's 6th game to our 2nd. Before the game, he said there were benefits to both sides like having more video to study. Lose to TENN and they are a Final Four caliber team. No they're not. They may get there and granted it was only their second game but their offense looked like Cronin 2.0. Tonight we're just young. I get it. 2 seniors are the main player and 2 jr transfers. Not that young other than the bench. I like Brannen and think he will be fine but own the issues with the team. As i said, we aren't that good but we were picked by 8 for a reason. Should have won this game.

Keith could disrupt the entire F-ing conference if he wanted to. But he only wants to about half the time. He’s the man when he wants to be

Are we allowed to trade players? How the hell did Rap get 20 minutes after a 5 turnover game just to double down?

Because there is no accountability on this team. Guys don't run back on defense, give up layups full-court out of timeouts, etc. and they get to stay on the floor.

The best thing Tari Eason can do at this point is transfer the hell out, because he is too talented to spend his career surrounded by Horizon league talent with a coach who has no discipline.

For a poor shooter Mikey is still 100 percent on the year from the line and I’m not sure he’s even hit the rim. He didn’t tonight on 4 tries. He gets after it and his speed is dangerous

Say what you will about Micks recruiting, I’ve said my peace on that but his bigs were tough as nails and would fight for rebounds despite there other limitations. UC built there reputation on that tough mentality, other teams knew they would have to scrap with us to win.... now we have Rap and Chris Vogt who are two of the softest bigs i have ever seen play. I think Eason will be great but right now he is just a baby and needs a little time to develop

Pretty sure Mike was out there to send a message. He works his ass off on the court even if he’s not perfect. He can do the job...he’s physically ready at this level right now. Obviously some height issues but he’s trying to bust through screens as much as humanly possible

As a 5 maybe but I’ll take Eason as the 4. As frosh you take Eason and JJ was one of my top 10 favorite players. I was there Huggins first year so I have a lot of players to love

Tonight was a bad loss. I don't care how you put it.

For the second consecutive game, we really missed Diarra. Not having an athletic option at the 5 to at least throw in there for spot minutes could very well be the death of this team.

For the second consecutive year Vogt lost the 1-on-1 match-up vs Durr.

Rap - god bless him, for all of his positive attributes (high character, intelligent, aggressive) is not a high major basketball player. Brannen signing him based off last year's Colgate performance is a move straight out of the Jeff Berding FC Cincinnati playbook (hope there's at least one poster here who gets that reference). I consider him a bigger miss than McNeal at this point.

Keith's foul trouble is a major issue - like a potentially season-defining problem. If he can't be on the court for at least 30 minutes/game, we're just not going to win many games with this bunch.

Dejulius and MAW are both struggling to adapt to new roles.

Harvey shows flashes of brilliance combined with long spells of inactivity.

Davenport had little impact on the game despite nearly playing the most minutes of anyone.

Eason was great.

The bottom line is, if that’s what you get from your best player, your team won’t be that good. If that’s brannen’s fault, who knows. Maybe he’s putting him in a bad position. I don’t know. But if your best player isn’t good, usually your team isn’t good. That’s how basketball works.

I don’t mind a rebuild if it means more success in March. Never really got excited about just getting there. If you did, great. So if we have to have a down year or two, to achieve that, I’m willing to try. We will see if it actually pays off.
