dion waiters didn't start for Syracuse and he was by far there best player but he was that jolt off the bench. parker can be a mismatch nightmare and a jolt for uc.

waiters didn't start because a 3 year senior starter in scoop jardine was ahead of him. parker is a senior and will start.

parker is not the purebred scorer than waiters is. waiters contribution this year was a lot more comparable to SK's last year than parker's contribution or abilities ever would be based on what they bring to the table.

went down to deveroes today.

JD looked good.

Cash looked good.

Sanders looks like he has cut some weight and his shot looks on target.

Justin didnt do much.

Yancy yelled alot of the refs and took alot of jumpers.

Went down today as well. Liked what I saw with Davis and Sanders. Sanders body looks much more in shape and he's added muscle. We left at halftime of the Slats game, it was boring. I was surprised Gates was there, I'm guessing it will be his last appearance. Thomas hasn't added any size, he is still rail thin. Jackson hasn't added bulk either, but did seem to have a little more definition. Was hoping to see Rubles, but he wasn't there.

Sooo pumped for the season to begin already!! god forbid we get a terrible injury the sky is the limit for this team, gotta respect all of your guys opinions on what the starting lineups are, all good cases. I think by the time they start to play big east basketball it will be:

Cash
SK
Park
Shaq
JJ

And then sub in Cheikh for Shaq 6 mins in and move JJ to the 4.

I am excited too. No way Shaq starts. Mick has been raving about Cheik this offseason.

Starting 5
Cash,
Killa,
Parker,
Jackson
Cheik,

First off the bench: Titus, Sanders, Shaq, Guyn, Davis.

I think Shaq is going to be one heck of a player during his time here but I also think he will disappoint alot of fans this year who are expexting him to come in right away and be a major factor. He is going to need some time to adjust. Sanders gives this team more minutes this year. Shaq plays about 12-15 minutes a game tops IMO.

I don't think it is far fetched to expect Shaq to have a freshman year like SK. There will be games where we will see the potential and there will be games where he disappears. How much he plays will depend on how well he plays defense.

I agree with you on the comparrison between SK and Shaq. I just think Sanders is going to get more minutes. He has one year under his belt and looks really good. I just think some fans are expecting Shaq to come in and start right away which is not going to happen

I agree. I haven't had a chance to see Sanders play this summer but everything I have read has been positive in regards to his improved quickness and work ethic. He should contribute this season.

The biggest improvements I've seen in saunders is his mid range shot and creating his own shot. He can be a weapon offensively this yeAr. Still concerned about his lateral quickness on the defensive end but he's making strides

Thomas' impact, will depend on the opponent imo.
I'm not sure his jump shot is there yet. It's going to be tough for him, to try and drive on bigger, stronger teams. From what I can tell, he's very good with his passing ability, handle and play making in transition.
