Help Support BearcatTalk:

- Captain Caupain (This is one game where we might benefit from slowing the game down)
- Cobb (He's still better than 'foul 40 feet from the basket' Kevin Johnson)
- Shaq
- Clark
- Ellis

I want to see more minutes for DeBerry. This guy would start on most of Mick's previous teams.

O/U: 0.5 technical fouls for Ellis ?

Last year we had Troy walk it up and played zone defense. We were down 36-24 at half in our own building.

Xavier up 33-6 on Wright State with 6 minutes left in the half. Wright State is 0-9 from 3. No inside game at all.

Wish wright St could maybe take out an X player or two. Xavier has just been steam rolling teams. Maybe they will be drinking their own Kool Aid for us. Or do we only do that? Lol

Reading through this post you'd never imagine UC is a one loss team with that only loss coming by 2 points to Butler. No doubt Xavier is a good team but I think we are too and this should be a great game.

Despite the recent trend of being down on our team's effort I'm thoroughly enjoying this season. Our team is putting up points and playing a more exciting brand of basketball. Mick will continue to question his team's effort and toughness because that's what he always does, he's a tough love guy. I'd rather have us lose 85-83 than watch us lose 51-49 like in years past.

Xavier can score and so can we, I think we can win the toughness battle. Bottom line is whoever puts he ball through the hoop more times wins the game. We've been pretty good at that so far this year, we just need to tighten it up a bit.

SHM. KJ is usually pressing in the backcourt. He doesn't need to run back to the other side of the floor. #stopreachingclown

Someone else mentioned it as well, he has done it all season, after first three against Butler did gesture and stared at their bench. Cronin also mentioned in Morgan State post game that some players think that they are better than they really are and specifically mentioned hand shakes and gestures.

Definitely agree.

Watching X game and Blueitt makes a 3 and jogs back to play D, when KJ makes a 3 he has to do some hand gyration and point to the heavens

This drives me nuts too. Him and Troy after about every three. Like it's some major accomplishment to make a 3, especially considering he is currently a career 34% 3 point shooter. I get emotion, but that's not emotion. Cobb at least acts like he's been here before; makes a 3, goes about his business.

UC's bigs should be on the low block. They are too good not to be, they'll eventually figure it out. Otherwise what good are they? Not that there is only one problem, but our guards (1) can't get it to them when they have good position, but (2) when they do actually get it to them they make a half-assed attempted to cut to the basket or they stand and watch.

UC has taken over some games by going down low to Ellis and Clark. They need to continue to do so. Our 3 point shooting isn't going to be how this team goes deep in the tourny.
