Gary Clark had 18 points (playing only 9 min in 2nd half) for Clayton HS tonight in a win over Smithfield-Selma HS

Can you imagine in 2 years when the 2014 guys will be Sophomores we could potentially see:

Lawrence
Thomas
Clark
Moore
Morman/Caupain/Johnson playing together.

We would be freakishly long, athletic and quick. Good stuff to think about.

Gary is going to be a force for us. I think Quadri might take some time to develop, but Gary will be an impact player early on, IMO. DeBerry sounds like an under-the-radar type of player who looks like he is much more polished offensively than Nyarsuk or Mbodj. If we can add another big in this class, I think that we could actually make big men one of our strong points.

Sounds good to me! lol Something I think we all have been waiting for!

Yah...not only freakishly long but athletic with BB skills to boot. And we could be 3 deep at every position. Imagine the competition for playing time.

C...Strickland, Debarry, Moore
PF...Lawrence, Moore, Clark
SF...Thomas, Clark, Sanders
SG...Johnson, Mormon, Davis
PG...Caupain, Guyn, and one of the SG's

And one player TBD.

If we can somehow manage to hit a home run with our final recruit this team could be sick. By sick I am just thinking compared to what we have had to work with since Mick has been here and not necessarily sick compared to what KY or other big time programs bring in. And by home run I am thinking just getting a decent recruit from what's left out there. If we keep playing well it's going to open some doors and we will have a better chance in the spring with certain recruits. Not to mention, we will also know in the spring what holes (if any) we need to fill or add depth to.

Rigth now Mick is in a position where he doesn't have to recruit every player in the rotation 1 through 5. He is finally in a position where he can plug holes and maybe sell a 5 star guy to come and play for us even if it's one and done. In the past, one and done's didn't really do all that much for us, but if we can get one now, which is the missing piece to our puzzle, it will be a lot more valuable to us than Born Ready was.

Born Ready was THE center piece of a team that wasn't deep or tremendously talented. In the future we could add Born Ready's as compliments to an already solid team. Big difference.

Sanders and Guyn will be gone; hopefully we get 3 years out of Lawrence.

It will be something like

PG- Caupain, Guyn
SG- Morman, Johnson, Davis
SF- Thomas, Sanders, Clark
PF- Lawrence, Moore
C- Deberry, Strickland, Allen or Mahmoud

The only question I have is do you put Thomas at SG and Sanders at SF starting.

Clark (@Gary11_Clark) put up a monster double-double while being double-teamed on literally every touch #Respect #MakeEmPay #Cincy

If I am not mistaken we will lose JJ, TR, SK, and DN after this year. Then after next year we will lose GG and JS. Then ST, JDIII and Debarry the following year. Lawrence is anyone's guess right now. At best I would say he might leave after his soph season...if he leaves after this year he is crazy...unless he drastically improves his offense.

He did look really good in those highlights. His level of competition looks like pipsqueaks, haha. Expected at the High School level though. Great moves for a 6'8" guy, looks like another wing forward.

GG & Caupain will be experienced pg's, KJ, Lawrence, Shaq all sophs - Morman back on track, Sanders a senior, JDIII hopefully gets it and is a scoring junior - the huge question is inside
