6.5 points and 2.6 assists last season is more than any returning or incoming pg averaged in college a year ago. If you can upgrade you upgrade. That said I don't believe he'll end up at UC but it wouldn't bother me if he did.

Kevin Johnson is leaving Seton Hall. He is a 6'10" wide body who needs to upgrade his conditioning. My guess he heads back West but we'll see. The bearcats recruited him for the 2011 class. He had academic issues and when he signed with Seton Hall it was a surprise because he never took a visit.

I could see Nyarsuk leaving and Seton Hall Kevin Johnson coming in as a possibility. 2 Kevin Johnsons would be very confusing, haha. If we got Seagears and Johnson, I would be happy.

Edit: This just in from Zag

Hearing Seton Hall transfer Kevin Johnson will go to San Diego State.

Who is worse than KJ?

He hasn't played against as good of competition as the other freshman.

Who is better? I dont think anyone knows. Kids respond differently to the college game. Reports out of UC have him up 12 lbs already and tearing up open gym. I have been really impressed with his ability to score from all three levels. Jermaine Lawrence is the only other recruit to have that skill set. This team needs guys who can score. Especially off the bench. No doubt there is a lot of competition at the guard positions but KJ combines good basketball IQ with the ability to score. With his body getting into D1 shape I think he could surprise some people for time at the 2.

I think he plays much more like a 2, but I just wish he were 2 inches taller. 6'1 is short for a 2 guard. My memory may be wrong, but I think Mick said he would be a PG. If that's the case, I think he will need a year to adjust. If they decide he will be an undersized 2, he could definitely see some good minutes this year....

At PG Caupain will start
Guyn has experience
At SG Kilpatrick will start
Davis will back and is a wild card
Sanders could also see minutes at SG because he isnt going to see time at the 3.

KJ has quickness and speed as well. I think he and Morman are sleepers for lack of a better word. That's why I believe either Guyn or Davis are the two most in danger of losing time.
