This is for thegreat one. You were so insistant that Thomas had improved so much. Umm, did you watch the game today? Possibly the 3 worst shots I have seen in my life.

Hit the bottom of the basket on a layup
Airballed a shot from the low block
Tried to dunk and lost the ball but dropped it
Shot one over the basket

If this is improvement then I don't wanna know what he use to do.

I say 3 worst shots and list 4 because there is a shot by Biggie last year that is in the top 4. He had a jump shot go sideways, from one side of the free throw line to the other. I thought THEGREATONE posted before the season that Biggie was going to be a stud. ha, shows how much he knows.

I like Thomas. I think he had a rough night, but he worked hard underneath, and that is progress for him.

I can understand why though--he did have to sit out 2 years and it can take awhile to get back to full mode.

I agree with you, its all rust. My point is that thegreatone was claiming Mick had everything to do with Thomas improving. No he didnt, its just Thomas getting rid of the rust. And in all honesty, he is one of our hardest working player in every game.

Yeah, can't give Mick too much credit for how much he improves this season...Now, if he comes out and is a beast next year? I think mick deserves the credit then. Its a shame he couldnt play his first game until the crosstown.

I said Biggie would be productive. I told LivingLegend he would be able to alter shots. I still believe he could do just as much as Toyloy. I never said stud. Ever.

I think Biggie would give us more than Toyloy, but that isnt saying much.

As for Thomas. He is getting better. One bad game and your ready to jump all over him. I think Cash is improving as well.

I was not giving mick all the credit in this. You asked who has gotten better under Mick and I gave you 5 names. I did not say Mick gets all the credit.

You CAN NOT look at the number to compare Thomas' production from OSU to UC and here is why.

- He now plays with Yancy Gates who is our number 1 post player.
- UC has been playing a Big 10 style of basketball. We play a slow down controlled game. We don't try to press or run a fast paced offense. It is the Moeller high school syndrome. Moeller never has anyone score more than 12-14 point no matter how good they are. It is hard.
- Big East has much better big men than Big XII

I didn't think Thomas played terrible last night.

He was active in the first half, but disappeared in the second half. He is going to miss some layups because of contact, but will also make some layups too.

We need Thomas to contribute 10 and 6 on a consistent basis for us to be successful.

He had 2 consecutive plays last night that resulted in unforced turnovers. That was ugly, to be sure, but don't take that 30 seconds of playing time to judge his game. Overall, he has improved leaps and bounds since the beginning of the year.

Fact. Thomas brings effort every game and has gotten better.

He needs to meet with your boy Dave Andrews immediately.

Effort is there. I will take someone who is good that doesnt try that hard over a guy who tries very hard but sucks.

Thomas is neither. He is a role player.
