As of the media availability he still hadn't practiced. I hope he sits out these 2 games coming up.

I'd rather have him for depth and defense. But Also don't want him to be playing half injured

i'd love to have shaq back out there but unless we're totally sure that he has healed, i'd rather put him on the shelf until we're confident that he's back to full strength.

we clearly blew this once before, thinking he was able to participate without risk of reaggravation.

Yea I understand that. Would much rather have him play on senior night than play tonight if i had to choose

Yeah I agree. Since we don't have a game during the week next week, I like the idea of buying as much time as possible so it doesn't keep lingering. Johnson and Evans should be fine to carry the load.

It was Haith...
Wrong again Coach Chad.

One of the stingiest teams in the country held Missouri to 29 percent shooting in the first half and 38 percent for the game. The Tigers couldn't get a basket to fall from the 7:27 mark of the first half to 16:48 mark of the second; they fell far short of their average of 81.4 points per game.

"We were always fighting uphill," Missouri coach Mike Anderson said. "When you've got guys that normally score for you are not scoring, it puts a burden on those other guys."

The Bearcats (26-8) advance to a Saturday rematch with Connecticut, a rare early round pairing of Big East teams necessitated by the conference's record 11 bids to this year's tournament. The Huskies beat the Bearcats 67-59 in Cincinnati on Feb. 27, and coach Mick Cronin would rather be playing someone else.

For real? That was Mike Anderson?

Yes.

Hmm...hopefully he is 100%.

Cronin stated that he had "taken over" Shaq's situation regarding his health when he decided to shut him down. I assumed that to mean that while Shaq was cleared by the medical staff to play Mick felt he would heal quicker without playing. He also said that he wouldn't play again until he completely recovered and practiced fully. So you gotta figure he's 100%.

I don't think it was a case of making the injury worse. I think it was a case of Shaq not being able to play effectively through the pain of the bone bruise.
