I don't think it was a case of making the injury worse. I think it was a case of Shaq not being able to play effectively through the pain of the bone bruise.

i think the film will show that he looked way worse, with a much more pronounced limp and pained expression, in the UCF game than in the USF game.

If he is 95% then lets get it. This week is hugely important to us. Gotta play through a little of pain if there is no risk in re-injury.

If we can find a way to sweep this (gonna be tough) then I will feel a lot better about our chances. The more pressure we can take off ourselves with a win tonight, the better. This is huge road win opportunity against a top 50 RPI team

He played about 3 minutes in the UCF and could barely walk. I'm not sure when he aggravated it but it must have been in UCF pre game practice or during the game because he would not have been playing if he looked like that in practice leading up to the game. At least I would be shocked if I found that out.

He re-injured when he made that layup versus UCF.

Dude if we sweep this week we are in. 3 games left. ECU Houston and SMU. No doubt at worst we go 2-1. This week is monumental

Cincy.com is reporting he has practiced the last two days and will play tonight. Dan Hoard tweeted this info.

Of the 5 games which do you think is our biggest challenge?

From hardest to least hardest.
1. SMU
2. Uconn
3.@tulsa
4.@houston
5. @Ecu

1-4 are extremely close though and I'm sure win probability from nts site says differently, but to me that's the right rankings

ECU is the only game that doesn't scare me much but it is (away).

Houston has won 6 of 7 and SMU, Memphis, and Tulsa were in there. It's going to be a tough game. (away)

Tulsa has won 8 of 11 including SMU, UConn, and Houston (away)

UConn will have Brimah back and revenge on the mind (home)

SMU probably has the best team of them all (home)

To be honest...that scares me a bit with our inconsistency to stay focused.

Interesting list because your two toughest teams are at 5/3 where we have played much better.

Agree with your comments. Every game could be a NCAA elimination game. Not a gimme in the 5. The toughest in my opinion is Houston playing away. Playing away from 5/3 has not been easy.

I agree with that order. Good news is, if we finish 4-1 with the loss not coming from ECU I don't think the loss to one of the other teams hurts us that bad. Hopefully we just win out and win our tourney..I'd say 6 seed if that's the case.

You have got to be nuts if you think we are going to win out

I wouldn't say it is nuts...but we'd have to win 6 games away from home to win out. Not sure I see that happening.
wouldn't three of the games be considered a neutral court? I do understand your point that they are away from home where we have not played well but the conference tourney would be away games for everyone.

Yes true. Seems like we aren't the only ones in college basketball who struggle away from our own gym.

how do you see this one turning out Jacob? Shaq is available. Would love to get this one and have UCONN in our gym in front of a full house and them coming off a tough game against SMU.
