UConn

I just rewatched the game. After wiping the tears off the floor I did notice something positive. This team's chemistry has really developed. These guys are pulling for each other. Earlier in the year they kind of just looked at each other and shrugged. Now they are running over to help their guys off the floor, hugging, getting excited for each other. They care about winning together. This is a very positive development for the tourney and of course for next year with everybody back.

no-brainer

UC wins the stat battle except for this:

UConn - FG Att - 55, UC - 47

Why the disparity?

UConn - TO's 3, UC - 11

That's the whole game, right there and continues to be the Achilles heel of this team. In a close game, 8 extra shots will win it no matter if the shooting percentage is lousy....only need to hit a couple - and UConn did.

The three turnovers for UCONN is more significant than UC's 11 turnovers. 11 turnovers isn't all that bad. But only turning a team over 3 times is bad.

Not sure how I made it through the walk back to the car without being placed in handcuffs last night. Uconn fans are right up there with the worst in the land. Absolutely heart breaking but not at all surprising, I'm sure many of us saw that coming. As far as the seeding i think the committee will keep us on the 8/9 just to twist the knife a little more. In their eyes they'll be giving us a little respect by keeping an 8/9 instead of a 10/11 but we all know they are just setting us up for an ass spanking in the second round against UK. fingers crossed

That's exactly how I feel about the seeding. Kudos to you for being able to keep your composure around the arrogant douche's called UConn fans. Honestly their fan base is pretty weak considering there was only 9k in the stands.

It's the disparity that's bad. Doesn't matter if it's 11-3, 28 - 20, or 8-0 those possessions matter - wonder if the zone produces fewer turnovers?

I said the same thing to a friend of mine last night. It's one of the things that excites me about the future.

I would like to see Shaq Thomas bottle his play the last 7 games and bring it next year. Also the guards really need to improve for next year, particularly Kevin Johnson and ball handling + Troy Caupain and assertiveness. If the guards improve, Cincinnati has a chance to be very good next year.

Damn I wish we had Guyn guarding Boatright last night. Wish we could get the Harvard treatment and get an unexpected low seed. If we must end up in the 8/9, let us at least be a 9 so that we can wear black.

I like Tournament Shaq, He had a tonne of energy last night. 10pts 7 rbs and a couple of big blocks. Need him to keep that up and it will be a game changer.

Also, in case it hasn't been said enough I love Gary Clark

Don't be so fast

If Kevin wasn't told to switch we would be in OT but he was told to. So know theses things before pointing the finger! Besides who checked Boatwright the rest of the game? Nobody!!! That's why we lost, and the other guard had 17. Ummmmmm? Some of theses players have no D at all Hoosier

It is so frustrating to watch sometimes. It feels like we always lose like that! I think Mick/Larry are great coaches, but I would love to see this program take the next step. I hope with this upcoming recruiting class and the underclassmen we have now, our scoring and offense will improve. If we can score around 70 more often, we are just as good as any team in the country. It's so frustrating to lose these low scoring games.

I'm sure rooting against Tulsa and UCONN now. I don't want either of them to win this tournament. I'm hoping the committee doesn't have a max number of AAC teams in mind for the dance, and somehow we get bounced out by these two teams doing well in this tournament.

Go Tulsa for me! Eff UConn, they don't deserve to go to the dance. Also, there is no way (99%) we get bounced regardless of the outcome of the AAC tourney.

There is no consideration to conference affiliation or conference record.

Watch uconn brick every 3 I will drink myself into a hospital

Let's see if they attempt 30 3-pointers too. Just a ridiculous amount of attempts. I hope they get Haith'd on.

That was the game plan, and Cincinnati executed it pretty well. The problem was on the other end they missed a lot of opportunities to extend the lead. Against Tulsa, they made the plays to keep ahead but against UConn it just didn't pan out.
