I'm just trying to catch up, having gotten back from vacation, so I admittedly haven't read this entire thread. I have however read many threads identical to this after every loss for the past 5 seasons. Does this sum it up?

After disappointing loss

We lost! This is the worst team I've ever seen! This was entirely Mick's fault and he sucks and must be immediately fired/stabbed.

After good win against top 25 team

Amen!! Some fans was against Mick when he was announced as the head coach! Because of some of the negative blogs on the other site, is one of the reason why I went to this one! I really wanted Mick to succeed even more when fans started bashing him for everything that went wrong with the team! I do think Mick is the right coach but it's going to take time! Go CATS!!!

Adrock your post is an excellent point. People talk about fair points but do not want to give credit for things well done. They lurk and wait to throw negativity. They are as guilty as the Mick can do no wrong crowd. To me it proves it is a personal thing toward Mick. I am more tolerant of the Mick is great crowd because at least it is pro-program and they post win or lose.

I was very critical of how yancy has been playing and one of the first to post about how solid of a game he played the other night. I also stated that Mick coached a great game. I have nothing against Mick. He is the coach of the UC basketball team. Do I think hes the answer? Meh, I have doubts untill proven wrong. An NCAA showing will be a start.

Lets be clear. The Mick is great crowd is not necessarily pro program, unless all you care about is having the same coach. If you care about winning and the future, sometimes it is necessary to criticize the present.

All they post after loses is how great the other team was that day and how great they shot the ball....neglecting to truly see how weak the defense was. When we win, ask they post about is other posters. Not sure why they get a longer leash, but they do.

Yancy Gates has a responsibility to improve himself. Mick has done all he has can, you didn't see practice so your opinion means nothing, I'll trust the best coach in his programs history over your amature opinion.

Interesting stat: UC is #1 in defense in the Big East. Defense has rarely been a problem this year. Often times it has been offense, free throw shooting, and poor rebounding. They have had their games where they have been poor defensively. Every team does. It is hard to point fingers at the defense when the team is #1 in that category in the best conference in America. Sometimes it is ok to give credit to the other team that beat you. You don't always beat yourself.
