my biggest concern is that i heard rubles is thinner than jackson.
No worries. I hear they have Rubles on the BJ Grove diet.

Apparently, Jermaine Sanders and Jeremiah Davis were in action today for superiorcars.
Sanders scored 18, on 8-15 shooting, had 6 boards, 2 assists and a block.
Davis scored 12, on 5-16 shooting, with 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 TO's
Wasn't at the game, but based on the stat line, it looks like we have another athletic volume shooting 2 guard to replace Dixon; in Davis.
Sanders seems intriguing.
I don't know what role he'll play, but I would expect his production to improve. Last year, he seemed really uncomfortable in summer league.

davis mediocre? i dont think we seen enough of him to make a harsh statement like that. lets give the kid a chance and see what role cronin will have in store for himdavis is nowhere close to the athlete that dixon was. dixon was a plus athlete and davis is a mediocre athlete by college basketball standards.
however, i do think that sanders takes the biggest jump of the freshmen this past year. he can really shoot it. hopefully he feels more comfortable in the flow of the game this year.

Made a comment and the board descends into chaos.
I don't think he has the lateral speed or jumping ability of Dixon, but I do consider him to be more athletic than most of our other 2's.
Dixon was a freak, I'm not sure why he took a step backward in his shooting all across the board his senior year. That said, his speed and ability to get around defenders and get steals as well as take it to the rim, won us games we otherwise don't win.
I think some under value his contributions.
He was also the only one, with a quasi decent handle when Wright was out.
He should have been on the wing the last 2 years, and due to a lack of depth, he really couldn't be.
I'm glad we have some true 3's now, in Shaquille Thomas, Titus Rubles and perhaps Jermaine Sanders.
As for how good Jeremiah Davis will be, that's on him and the staff.
He's got plenty of potential.
I guess, it's really just one person who took the "mediocre" part the wrong way.Where are you seeing chaos? This is just a discussion.

saying he's a mediocre athlete in college bball standards is not taking it the wrong way. saying Dion is not replaceable is wrongI guess, it's really just one person who took the "mediocre" part the wrong way.
You're right, no chaos, just descent.
I've seen plenty of plus athletes that were good b-ball players. Dixon was not a good three point shooter and made many dumb decisions. I'll take the guy who can shoot from all over and make good decisions any day of the week. I think JDIII will turn out to be better than Dixon.
Nomad is right. Everyone on here is downplaying the loss of Dixon..
"he couldn't shoot", "he wasnt very good his senior year" blah blah blah
Dion Dixon was a winner. He single handily won and closed a lot of games for us getting to the line late, hitting clutch fts, playing great d, and snagging crucial rebounds. He was an athletic freak that was a leader. Mick loved his intensity and toughness
Uc can't replace him with any individual. It's gotta be a replacement by committee.
