Nomadic has some serious psychological issues with New York. Were you robbed there on a visit? Did a New Yorker steal your girlfriend? Were the Yankees winning the WS when you wanted the Reds to? I mean my god...you are just pulling things out of your butt. NYC has no culture? No impressive buildings? I want some of what this guy is smoking it must be good! Statue of Liberty, WTC, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Ellis Island, Appollo Theater, MSG, Broadway, Times Square, Wall St, best skyline by far in the US, famous songs written about us, the biggest market in the US, the capital of finance, art, hip hop (which is pop culture), and prestige, most demanding and fast paced, etc. etc. etc. You must be kidding. Last I checked it was a city in YOUR state that had a viral youtube video making fun of it: Cleveland. Cincy is not even in the same tier as New York and shouldn't be compared as such. There is a reason New Yorkers are cocky...we have a right to be...look what we have, look at our influence. We have the most tourism bar none in the entire country. People coming to NYC for the first time get the chills just seeing the magnitude of the place. We defend NY not because we are "Northeast d0uches" but because we know what we have. The Northeast is where the best universities are, the best quality of life, most educated populations, and most expensive to live except Cali. Just give up trying to make New York into Cleveland because you fail miserably and you are embarrassing your own fanbase.

I'll just state my position:
You have more vacant buildings, then most cities have buildings total.
You have an ugly backdrop, that makes me think of death and decay.
Your public transit system sucks, your music is awful, your hipsters smell, your homeless smell, your wealthy people are all cold hearted, blood sucking maggots and your mentality is a turn off.

I'm sorry, I really don't like you.

I think that everyone is frustrated the way Obekpa's recruitment has gone. I don't have any inside information and this is just a gut feeling.

After Telep said something about nobody seeing his transcripts from his Sr. year have made me very weery. The longer and longer this goes on leads me to believe that he may go prep and try to propel that into a better offer or his handlers may talk him into going straight to NBA, who knows with the quotes we have heard from them. It is hard to gauge anything b/c he has been so quiet but something tells me he is looking for something bigger and ultimately won't go to either SJ or UC, again just a gut feeling.

This leads me to a question, the NCAA clearinghouse goes in chronological order correct? If that is true, the longer he waits, if he indeed does have grade issues, he may be out part of the season due to the NCAA taking his sweet time. He is basically screwing himself.

I remember Shaq Thomas, taking quite a long time to get approval.
Granted, his situation was different, since course work, not grades were the issue.

Great assesment and frankly I feel the same way. I have actually been told that prep is a definite option by someone close to the situation. I hope we are wrong, he clears and commits to UC.

It has nothing to do with me being delicate. You called someone else's mother a wh%#e. that is the act of someone sitting in a basement waiting for his mom to serve meatloaf. One thing I hate more than anything is people who say things on a computer that they would never say to a persons face in public. You are a Internet thug and it's a tad corny man. He wishes New York was this ugly, insignificant, piece of crap city like Cincy or Cleveland so bad...even with some sugar and gum drops on top! No wonder people in the midwest are stereotyped as out of the loop hicks in trailer parks...I'm beginning to get validation via Nomadic. He couldn't afford New York so he moved back to good ol' Ohio. Even though girls in Ohio would probably melt at the chance of moving to NYC or even visiting. Want to try a cool experiment? Go to Europe or anywhere in the world outside the US and tell someone "I'm from Cincinnati". They will look puzzled and cock their head like a confused dog. Then try saying "I'm from New York" and their eyes will light up followed by 100 questions out of curiosity and admiration. Enjoy.

While I am proud to be a New Yorker, I have also been to Ohio and happened to like it a great deal.

I freaking love NYC. Love it every time I get to visit there for work. Totally different then Cincinnati. I wish I could have lived their when I was a YP, but now with a family I'm perfectly happy in Cincy. I wouldn't want to raise my family in Manhattan, though I'm sure the burroughs are great for that. Cincinnati is a truly great city as well. The history, architecture, culinary, city views, etc are awesome here.

NYC baller: time to follow your own advice and ignore some people. Like I said, every team has their idiot fans. There have been a few on here that have over extended there welcome and do nothing but make idiotic posts (Ralph, Mick, etc). Ignore them. They don't represent the fan base. Just like some of the SJU idiots that started posting over here.

Both UC and SJU are good programs. UC has been better as of late but SJU is on the rise. Who knows which school, if any, Obekpa will pick, but damn, enough is enough with all the stupid attacks.

oh, and lol @ Obekpa for president. I don't think I've ever heard or read someone think they are so cool because they live in a certain city. That is just downright hilarious.

Greatone, Jason, Lobot and I will watch it closely but won't close it till Obekpa does whatever he is going to do. I will make sure to check posts each time I log on. Typically I just post and read the most recent page due to time constraints.

You're the one that let that idiot Nomadic go on for that long without putting a muzzle on him, now you will have more people like me responding to the crap he said as a result. Read my posts...I started off respectful and classy. It took a turn when Nomadic confused NYC as being Detroit or Cleveland. Now either man up and take what your fellow fans dish out or go on mommy internet patrol and ban the mean SJ fans.
 
Before the Johnnies arrived to this board a couple of days ago we had 1 member banned.

We dont ban too often here but newcomers have a short leash.
