Saw this on twitter today and since no one else has said anything yet:
@SidyTheBest: i am gonna be a CAT
Memphis and Clemson are both Tigers, which are Cats too. He was probably joking.
MemphisRoar @MemphisRoar
2013 PF/C Sidy Mohamed Djitte will choose Clemson over Cincinnati and Memphis, per a source.
I don't want this kid, as I stated on earlier posts, I'm tired of getting kids who have limited experience playing this sport. We have been down this road several times and it has not panned out. If this kid was incredibly gifted NC State wouldn't have cut him loose and he'd be looking at offers from the top schools. Mick hasn't shown yet that he has the ability to take these types of guys and mold them into good players so why would anyone want this kid on our roster?
I think it would be in ours and Siddy best interests if he went somewhere else.
If you already stated it then why beat the dead horse?
Reality is, while maybe he is a project, he might also be better than what we currently have on the roster down-low. If you are recruiting a guy that is better than your worst player, then why not take him?
And out of curiosity, why would it be in Siddy's best interests to go somewhere else? I understand from our perspective, but why his?
Because we haven't displayed the ability to mold these kids into good players. So maybe he's better playing somewhere like Memphis where they have a former NBA big man to help coach their talent.
For someone who, as you stated multiple times before, doesnt follow recruiting, you sure follow recruiting alot. Im curious. You said you dont want kids who dont have experience playing the game. How long has Sidy been playing basketball?
Because we haven't displayed the ability to mold these kids into good players. So maybe he's better playing somewhere like Memphis where they have a former NBA big man to help coach their talent.
Who is the former NBA big man that helps coach at Memphis?
He might be talking about Jimmy Williams.

But he never played in the NBA. Has a good looking resume though and has coached 35 guys who ended up in the league and was the assistant to Flip Saunders one year.
Also noticed Damon Stoudamire is an assistant. Which will definitely help their guard play
Nope, just read something on MemphisRoar that Damon went to Arizona with Sean Miller. He has been a Memphis assistant the past few years. Also, I don't recall Memphis doing as much as us in the tourney the past few years. With the talent they get, they should be a perennial power, but they aren't because of coaching. Partner is only good for recruiting, not results.
