'15 LA SG Jacob Evans (Commit)

Maybe he's just giving himself enough time so he isn't painted into a corner on when to announce. Smart move if that's the case. Other possibility is he wants to see if his recruitment blows up and gets someone like Kentucky or Duke involved.

The idea about the recruitment blowing up makes sense but usually kids leave an official visit or two for that. Once he takes all five official visits, I can't imagine he is going to wait another 6-8 months to decide. Seems like a strange timeline.

2015 St. Michael (LA) wing Jacob Evans will have South Carolina and Cincinnati in tomorrow to see him @ny2lasports

I can't speak about the visit. Not sure what effect LSU may have on things, if any, with their late pitch. According to him, they have really been in contact with him a lot the past month and a half (http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2014/10/lsu_trying_to_make_a_late_push.html)., but he seems perplexed as to why it took so long too. Either way I don't think this will drag out till November. My guess is we'll all know sooner rather than later.

I believe he said he was going to decide in the Spring period, but things could change.

Beauitful. Our 2015 class would be outstanding if we can land this kid. We could also get a big head start on the 2016 class.

Lot of guys on 247 have started crystal balling him to South Carolina in the last day or two. Wonder how sure they are.

A week ago I would have said were in good shape. Now I think it could go either way. Was worried about a late LSU PUSH a couple weeks back and when that went away I would have said we're golden now I just don't know what to think. There will be time available on the wing next season but maybe he feels he will have/get more immediate time at USC. NOT COUNTING US OUT! just not as confident.

The director of 247 scouting crystal balled him to SC as well.

IIRC the crystal ball for Quadri and Gary Clark were not for UC before the decision. And Everyone Crystal balled Torian Graham to UC. I think when 1 person crystal balls everyone else goes along with the pick. maybe they assume the first guy who crystal balled had info they do not

Ill wait for the decision. How many scholarships does South Carolina have? They have 1 senior now and a commit in Chris Siva. They are also still in on In state guard Perry Dozier JR

Also their star scorer is their shooting guard who I think has three years left.

I will remain confident he chooses UC. I think overall his basketball future is better at UC than South Carolina. For what its worth, Jacob has retweeted a lot of UC fan's comments towards him being a Bearcat.

Again, I'm certainly not counting us out. I think UC has a good chance, he may well sign and hope he does. I'm just not as confident as I was.

This is true about the the crystal balls copycat style.

Also South Carolina are in on a lot of kids and I know 2 are deciding in next two weeks and have a good shot at landing them so if Evans wants to go there he better commit quick or there won't be any scollys for him. You would have to think the longer this recruitment goes on the better for UC.
