I saw that he was with the Steelers. Serious question. I know NFL teams carry three QB's through the season, how many QB's do the Steelers have at their training camp and is he a legitimate threat to compete to be the third stringer?
I looked up their roster. It hurt a little bit going on the Steelers website, but they have 4 QB's on their roster. Big Ben obviously will be the starter. Gradkowski will be their back-up as the Steelers like to have a solid #2 option. That leaves Kay and Landry Jones to fight for the #3 spot. I was curious about Jones so I read an article and from that it seems the Steelers want to give him a look, although honestly that could just be mere speculation from the reporter as there were no quotes from the Steelers to go along with it. Interestingly, too, there was no mention of Kay in the article. Hopefully Kay wasn't just brought in to take some snaps in preseason games without being given a real look. The guy is a Bearcat so I will root him on. I would love to see him land on somewhere, even if it is Pittsburgh.
