UC has gotten more 5 stars in the past 5 years than Xavier in their history. Even in our darkest of times.

I remember the 61 & 62 NCAA Championships like they were yesterday. They actually played real basketball back then before the game was ruined forever with the introduction of the 3 point line. UC is far more successful today than XU, UC is 14-0, XU is 8-4.

It is so sad for XU, as BH put it so well in his book, that in Cincinnati, no matter how many games X wins, they will always live in the shadow of UC, the school that has "Cincinnati" on its uniform.

which has gotten you all of ZERO tournament games. So, is that the coaches fault then? Xavier doesnt get 5 stars and they get to the elite 8 two times, sweet 16 two times and in that time span- UC (who gets 5 star players) has all of...1 tournament game and 0 tournament wins. Please explain that to me

You can say you're happy coasting every year after beating up on the Fordham's of the world, all the way to a 6 seed. And that's cool. If getting every year and playing underdog is your thing, I get that. And I would also expect a reply of "Well, when's the last time you guys won a title??" And that's valid. But here's the thing:

Our conference gives a chance to win a title, it gives a chance to recruit the best of the best. It gives a chance every year to be a 1 seed, 2 seed, perianual top 5 seed. Whether we do it or not, remains seen, but we have a chance, and it's something to strive for. You guys can't even dream of it (If you're realistic) and that's "ok" with you.

How many NCAA champions have come from the Big East since UC has joined?--thats an honest question as I dont know- I want to say...one maybe? or has there really been zero champions from the Big East lately? Xavier has been a 6 seed, 3 seed and 4 seed as of late. 3 seeds win tournaments, 4 seed got there last year.

You say your not content- but I am guessing you were a fan of Huggins? That would mean you are content- anyone who wanted him to stay was happy with dominating regular season and every now and then getting past the first weekend. 2 times, TWO times, in his last 10 years at UC he got to the second weekend. You were for sure calling for his name then right>?

If not then you better be calling for Micks name- considering his tournament resume...err, wait.

Who cares who more people in the city follow? Wouldn't you rather have success with less fans than more fans and less success?

True, and this is an honest question, how many teams from the Big East have gotten to the championship game since UC joined? Maybe Big East Tourney is just too tough.

I am always amazed that fans don't legitimize programs championships from the past. I mean come on people, 5, 10, or 20 years from now will be the past (point at which people say oh well you won that NC 15+ years ago so who cares). But it doesn't matter when or how long ago a championship was won, there are still very few who end up winning it. Because at the end of the day, legacy's and true greatness are measured over time and the championships you WIN, not some flash in the pan pansy a$$ program that makes a few decent runs!

The Big East gets a team to the final four pretty much every year. Two years ago we had 3 of the 4 number one seeds and two teams in the final four. The Big East is by far the best conference in the country year in and year out. I don't want to hear this crap about not winning a championship. The Big East has been to 40 final fours and has won 10 championships. Of all the current Big East members only South Florida has not made a final four. How many teams from the A-10 have been there? I am not sure of the answer but in my lifetime there has not been one final four team from the group that is currently in the A-10. If X played in the Big East they would get pounded. I don't know how old you are but one thing I can guarantee that X will not make the final four in your lifetime.

False and False. Look it up, Big East has not done better then the SEC since UC has got there in regards to final fours. As for Xavier, come on man, didn't they take Pitt to the final seconds a few years ago, and beat WVU the year before?

His statement was true and true, Big East teams do make the final 4 about every year and X will never make the Final 4.

UC has totally out successed XU. UC has 2 National Championships XU 0. UC has 6 Final 4's XU 0. UC has won 47 crosstown shootouts XU 30.

UC is 14-0 and a top 25 team. XU is 8-4 and unranked.

UC has a great coach who is building a dynasty. XU has a lousy coach who is leading XU down the path to mediocrity.

Dude, you act like we've been a member of the BE for twenty years. It's only been 5 years. How many titles do you want from us? We can't win titles all the time. We just made up half of the Elite 8, half of the Final Four, and 3/4 of the #1 seeds two years ago. As of right now: 1/3...ONE FREAKIN THIRD...EIGHT TOTAL B.E. TEAMS, make up the coaches poll. It may take 5 years of A10 the team's rankings to equal that. And some of ours (4 of them) are top 10, some top 5. When is the last time an A10 team was Top 10? Top 5?

A: That joke of St. Joes team that got rocked in the Sweet 16 by a real team. That was the best A10 team, other Eggs putting on their cinderella high heels, of last 15 years.

The point made is, being in our conference affords you an opportunity, a CHANCE, of winning it all. Yours does not. NEVER gonna happen.


PS To the guy that couldn't think a of current A-10 team that made a FF, he's gonna come back with UMASS, cicra 94?, which I will counter with: Their coach cheated, is still a cheater, it was a different time, a different league, and will never happen again. :D

Uh...if by rocked in the sweet 16 you mean losing in the elite 8 by missing a game winning shot, then ok.!?!?!?!????? HA-get your facts straight if your going to say"rocked in sweet 16" please look up the facts and see how wrong you are before bringing them to the table-thanks... ohhh boy

Xavier was in the top 10 when they went to the elite 8 last.

I thought they got to the elite 8, st joes, but I could be wrong.
