WVU scored 1.07 PPP and Temple scored 1.12 PPP. Temple shot a season high 10-19 from 3 and 21-24 on FT's.
Thanks for the info. So would you rather have higher PPP and lose or a lower PPP and win?

That charge call on Evans in the 1st half was freaking terrible. I hate that call so much.
On a side note... Watching Virginia hand it to Louisville was a thing of beauty. They are the epitome of what Cronin wants to be.
Killer D and efficient O!
The point is, you don't have 2+ years of data points to use with this team. You have one conference game. Washington, Scott and Cumberland weren't on that team and Jennifer is so different this year it's like getting a new player.I don't get your point here. We have a track record in AAC road games that has led to being 10-9 the last 2+ seasons. That track record includes scoring in the 50s, not the 90s.
Lol! Mick brigade hits a new low. If we were a 1 seed, 2 seed, and 1 seed the last 3 years w/ a Sweet 16 and Elite 8 people wouldn't complain as much as we have.Yea.. but they are dead last in Tempo.
If we were as efficient on offense and Defense, people would still whine about how were dead last in Tempo.
Im not one of those people

This is it. This is the issue. It's time to get shit done. Squeaking into the dance is fine...But it's not going to vault the program. Getting a 7 seed may suffice the Cronin lovers but it's not going to fill the arena or land great recruits.
It's f-ing time! Get. It. Done!
temple does not stink. They didn't play well against us.Finally finished the game...Random thoughts:
-Temple stinks. We were fortunate that they had some shots not go their way in the 2bd half. We could've easily lost. Against a good team, we would have.
-Cumberland must continue to play. Couple big shots and a couple great passes. Can't miss a front end FT though.
-Clark is steady. What happened to his FT shooting?
-Washington barely feels part of the team. He and Moore need to play with their teammates better.
-Johnson was back to doing a lot of standing and holding the ball.
-Caupain is just not having a good season at all.
-I like the substitutions in this game. Bench played a lot 1st half.
-Scott is a big help.
-I hate charges.
-Evans is the best player on the floor for either team pretty much always.
Also noticed Temple didn't go for the 2 for 1. So stupid. They got bailed out bc Clark missed both FT. But they could've got a quicker shot and played defense without fouling and would've still had another possession. Why is this concept so difficult at the college level?
I think the toughest part is getting everyone on the same page. It's definitely a great strategy, but I think it's much easier said than done. You don't want all your guys staring at the shot clock/game clock trying to do quick math when a close game is winding down. I assume you can put together a relatively good game plan in practice, but having all 5 players on the court aware that there's 43 seconds left and they need to shoot QUICK seems difficult.
That has never been his game. Why would you think as a senior he would do it. He is not a quick penetrating point guard.I just wish troy could create more for his teammates. His ability to drive and dish isn't what it should be for a senior PG.

im sure they were coach ed that if you have a good look early take it if not get a good shot. Also noticed Temple didn't go for the 2 for 1. So stupid. They got bailed out bc Clark missed both FT. It was almost a full minute left for Temple. You don't have to stare at the clock. You need to have the coach let the PG know and call it out. You should have quick hitting options available from there. If not, you don't have to force it. Having an extra possession in a close game should be too big of a deal to these coaches to have a "Why bother?" attitude about it. It's really a simple concept.
I get you don't want to force it but these college teams don't even try. They walk it up and dribble up top until the clock winds down. It's stupid.
